  1. Bullpen coach Curt Hasler: “We hope he can just add to what we believe is already a strong bullpen,” Hasler said. “Now all of a sudden you can add him to the bullpen or rotation or something like that. Whatever we decide. But he’s still early in the process.” https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2023/1/28/23574256/white-sox-have-plenty-of-options-to-fill-closer-void
  2. That might just wake him up. Literally.
  3. "tryout" Is this a common term? I don't thing Robert and Moncada had tryouts. More like "showcase"
  4. Depending on his health, if he plays all year, that could become a true prediction. On this team, being available is also an elite quality. But yeah, I don’t know how hard it would be to excel round these parts. Its a low bar. If people are like, wondering if Colas is a questionable addition, consider the company. Robert and Eloy don’t play. Vaughn went to first base. Sheets is Sheets. Leury is Leury.
  5. Ever hear that little story about being confronted with a Bear in the woods? Guy says to his buddy ‘I don’t need to be faster than the Bear…just you? On this team he just have to be better than guys like Gavin Sheets
  6. ^^^^^The most gaslighting post ever.
  7. I wish I knew how to quit the Sox. That would do it though. So maybe it’s for the best. Hopefully they trade Rodriguez, Ramos, Vera, everyone they got on this deal.
  8. That sounds like they are totally trading him.
  9. This organization has always traded prospects that pan out later for veteran meh. So that’s about to happen.
  10. I confess that I always have to reserve my frustration to the organization as a whole more than for Hahn. They began the rebuild, then gave Hahn fake carte blanche to finish it off will the il- fated free agency follies. Perhaps Hahn should be more creative to get out of the handcuffs that have been placed on him. But this season has clearly ended the questions of whether or not he’s been saddled with limits placed on him. We were given false hope. I have to face it, and just wish for pop up seasons to support my Sox fandom. I may get excited the next time they engage in a full rebuild around a new wave of youth. Hopefully they do a better job of scouting cheap young talent to enjoy before getting shipped out when it needs to get paid.
  11. Right. f*** all this bottom shelf shopping. Lets fucking go.
  12. Fair enough. We don’t want to believe that. But again, not doing the background homework, or making a poor judgment is bad enough.
  13. What has KW done to deserve that allegation
  14. How does the Cueto decision look now?
  15. I wonder how front offices caught wind of this while he was so undervalued on the market. And how much the Sox had to know about that as well. Either scenario is damning if they were ignorant, or if they weren’t ignorant.
  16. The White Sox will certainly suss it out. We are free to speculate in the meantime
  17. Statistically, most allegations of this type are true however. Sure, you want to hang onto the outliers, you’re welcome.
  18. There is an added layer of protection for athletes’s contracts. No doubt. And Im not sure what the burden of “proof” on moral clauses is there. But Clevinger can be dumped from the roster without that much interference.
  19. Due process pertains to trial in court. My employer can easily and rightfully retain the right to dump me based on what we are seeing so far on Clevinger. You want an athlete to have special advantages. Which they do. But don’t confuse court with real life outside of a courtroom
  20. Interestingly, some were advocating acquiring Bauer. Wonder if they want both.
  21. I agree, that part is sort of a non story, but can be rather telling that nobody comes to his mind as a leader. May or may not mean there aren’t leader candidates. You’d rather someone was obvious to him however on a veteran team
  22. It would be a non story if it wasn’t the new manager suggesting Eloy get work in right field. Since he did, its a story.
