Gonna watch at the bar that I watched at Sunday in Gowanus. Will not step foot in the bar near me that I did for Game 2 until the ALCS.

I said it in another thread but the Rodon we saw against the Reds is pretty likely to dominate a fastball hitting team like the Astros. To be honest, I was most impressed with his start against the Reds. He didn't let his lack of velocity get in the way. He figured out how to mix and match and was able to get it done. He's become a real pitcher this year. I would absolutley offer him a CO and maybe even an incentive laden contract. If they can dump Keuchel on someone desperate for starting pitching, it's worth it.

Lynn. To be honest, I can see him doing fine as a reliever against the Astros. His issues against them usually come after one time through the order. I guess Gio if necessary. I dunno.

Funny story. I was supposed to go on a date with this woman tomorrow night and scheduled it specifically because it was an off day. Had to cancel it now because of the rainout. I literally can't schedule dates with people because I can't schedule till after the postseason or if the Sox do get eliminated. As a Sox fan, this shit is so foreign to me. Like I have not seen the Sox in the playoffs (last year excluded) in my proper adult life where I did things like went on proper dates with people. I'm pretty sure I was seeing someone when the Sox made the playoffs in 2018 but can't remember but also that was like sophomore year of college.

I think there is a definite advantage to the Astros throwing out McCullers but I'm not sure Baker will make the gamble. Because it suddenly turns Game 4 into a must win. And as we saw in Gio, there is no guarantee that he will pitch this well.

All I know is that I'm drunk and I watched this game at a Chicago bar where they put it on full blast outside and a bunch of White Sox fans retreated with me to the back. He's hitting more than Engel. I think you take him out after the fifth or sixth. If we are agree taht we need to play Leury, I don't know where else to put him. Because Engel is not hitting and Cesar is at least putting together quality at bats.

Love it. You should check out Roger Bennett's podcast with Chuck Garfien about his fandom. Although me trying to explain that Alexi Ramirez was a good hitter when he was hitting near .300 to my flatmate was impossible. He demanded that Alexi get a hit everytime he came to at bat. He also called Francisco Liriano a good bowler.

Yes. Hernandez put together a genuinely good at bat which resulted in a walk. He has killed the Astros over his career. Nothing to lose. If they really want Leury, put him in RF and put Engel in after the sixth inning.

Eloy is going nowhere and should go nowhere. This season isn't a really a great indicator of how he will do. He has always started hot, cooled off, turned it on at the end of the season. His first two seasons were pretty damn impressive. And to be honest, dude has gotten much better in LF.

Or they could win a game 5 at Houston. Like it's not impossible. Honestly, knowing how good this team is at home, this will likely go to 5. And despite Houston pwning us in the regular season, a game 5 in an ALDS is really a jump ball.
