I usually criticize Cease for taking too many pitches to get through innings, but tonight, I want to see 4 scoreless innings and I don't care if it takes him 100 pitches to do it.
On a day when 11 extra points were missed, and the Packers and Bengals combined to miss 5 game winning FGs before Green Bay finally got one.
I think the Bears have a real chance to not get blown out by Green Bay next week.
I was just thinking about that as well. We were told that Escobar had been traded to the Sox. Then they hadn't traded for him. Then we heard it was from medical issues. But he never missed any time.
I don't know if the Sox would ever dare try this, but Bummer has a FB rate under 10% and you could really justify playing 5 IF and 2 OF when he's pitching, especially if your two OF are Robert and Engel.
At some point it's no longer bad luck when the majority of the grounders are going to the same few spots and the infielders positioning isn't adjusted to match.
I meant "unfair price" in terms of dollars to free agents, not in prospects in trades. If you never, ever overpay for a free agent, you'll have a hard time winning. At some point you have to risk getting stuck with a bad contract down the road.
Nice win by Iowa, but Penn State was overrated. Barely beat a bad Wisconsin team and only beat Auburn, who needed the refs help to beat Georgia State, by 8. Penn State will lose 2-3 more games.
