Somebody needs to compare tournament results over the past 6-8 years and compare them to all the different metrics out there and see if there is any strong correlation with any of them.

End blackout restrictions, or at the very least shrink them to match the distribution of the RSN that carries the team. Almost all of Indiana is in the Sox blackout territory, but only in NW IN and the South Bend areas are you going to get CSN Chicago as the RSN that comes with most cable/satellite/streaming package. The rest of the state is going to get FS Indiana. I'm not as familiar with Iowa, but I imagine all or most of Iowa gets an RSN from KC/MIN/STL instead of Chicago.

There's not enough talent to warrant expansion. There are already teams that struggle to field 5 viable starting pitchers.

ESPN+ is getting exclusive rights to one London game per year, plus they will be the distributor of NFL Sunday ticket, so unless you are a Sunday ticket subscriber or really, really care a lot about watching that one London game, you don't need ESPN+. Of course if you are a Sunday ticket subscriber and that was the only thing keeping you with DirecTV you can now go out and dump them. Any game where ESPN, ESPN+, NFL Network, or Amazon Prime is the exclusive rights holder will continue be shown on a broadcast network in the home markets of the participating teams. Also, ABC is joining NBC, CBS and FOX in the Super Bowl rotation.

They didn't need to make it work cap wise. Seattle was never going to trade Wilson, the Bears knew that, but they made that ridiculous offer so when we get all pissed off about Andy Dalton they can come back and talk about how hard they tried to get Wilson.

If Mercedes is still seen as a viable C and/or the Sox want to keep Lucroy then Zavala needs to be DFA. Ruiz can be DFA. Not sure if both Gonzalez and Rutherford are necessary.

I don't know if Hamilton had any other interest, but a roster that has Adam Engel as the 4th outfielder is not an ideal one for someone with Hamilton's skillset to try and crack.

You have Lucroy, Collins and Vaughn all making it? That makes the IF and OF pretty thin. Also, Collins can't get sent down when Cordero is activated as they are required to carry 13 position players.

So I just looked up 2020 stats and Trubisky had a better completion %, yards/attempt, and TD/INT ratio than Dalton. Is this just a case of the grass being greener (or is it redder?) on the other side?

But why is Dalton and $10M more in salary to go 8-8 better than Foles and no more salary to go 6-10?

Dalton has been suffering behind a D+ offensive line. Would be exciting to see how much better he can be behind a C- offensive line.

That"s what it looked like to me. They didn't tag anybody while they were both on base, tagged the trail runner after Maybin left so that wasn't an out (even though the ump signaled out) and then they tagged Maybin.

I'm not sure why you would bunt with a runner on 2nd and 2 outs, but it was a hell of a bunt.
