Apparently there might be student loan forgiveness of up to $10k for people making < $125k. One of the people in the conversation makes > $125k but his wife makes < $125k and she's the one with the loans. Is there a going to be a different limit for married couples? If not, would switching filing status to married filing separately work? I had nothing to add since I've never filed a tax return.

For someone of Hahn's background, if the family's financial security is the priority then it would be as easy as walking out and finding another job. Probably not in baseball, but almost certainly one that pays at least as much if not more than he's making now. If seeing the Sox win a championship is the priority, then there has to be a calculation of when things have gotten so far off on the wrong track that leaving is the only way to possibly get them back on track. We may not have been at that point previously, but it sure seems like we're there now.

Taking injuries out of the equation for a minute, this is a key point. This team is less than the sum of its parts.

I don't anymore. I was already planning to switch over to Indiana's LLWS game at 2, now I'm definitely doing it.

Even if they didn't know Kopech was hurt, this was an opportunity to skip his spot in the rotation given that he's so far over what he's pitched before. Just dumb.
