Post-break rotation
- Grandal starts Rehab tomorrow
One other option might be Engel. He was at 4 years, 58 days of service time to start the season so he's very close to that 5 year limit right now but I think he can still be sent down if they want to keep 3 catchers and keep Sheets.- Post-break rotation
I just put Cease 2nd since he's been ridden pretty hard and could use an extra day of rest.- Post-break rotation
How I'd set up the rotation: 22nd - Cueto 23rd - Cease, Giolito 24th - Kopech 25th - OFF 26th - Lynn 27th - Cueto 28th - OFF 29th - Cease 30th - Giolito 31st - Lynn 1st - Cueto 2nd - Kopech- 7/22 GT Guardians @ White Sox, 7:10PM CT, Apple TV

I noticed from this year's draft that the order is based entirely on record and not on playoff advancement so there's zero chance the Sox pick 30th.- GT 7/19: AL at NL, 6:30 pm, FOX

Yeah it's exactly the course used in the iRacing event. I'll definitely be trying to get tickets.- 2022 draft Day 3, rounds 11-20
Here's a question: what's the lowest round draft pick from 2019 or earlier that's still in the Sox system?- Grandal starts Rehab tomorrow
There's absolutely an option where Sheets gets optioned. However, we all forgot about option #4 where somebody else ends up on the IL instead of needing to get rid of anybody.- Grandal starts Rehab tomorrow
My guess is that it's option 3 for now, then by the trade deadline either McGuire is traded or DFA and Sheets comes back.- If the Sox trade for Juan Soto we have a chance.
Discussing Cease or Vaughn as part of a package for Soto is pointless. Sox are trying to win now. Trading away your best starting pitcher doesn't make any sense, nor does trading Vaughn. Only big name that makes sense is Eloy because he's an OF. Aside from that you'd have to put together a package full of guys like Burger, Sheets, Foster, Crochet, Martin, Sosa and even then I don't know if that's worth it.- GT 7/19: AL at NL, 6:30 pm, FOX

Can't wait to start tracking the career WAR of the future hall of famer at pick #80.- FanGraphs on TA's Speed
It appears to me that when TA hits a grounder, he judges the probability that running full gas will make a difference and runs as such. I'm fine with that.- Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
Yeah, the Bears issue isn't city vs suburbs. The Bears issue is that you can't fit a modern NFL stadium that can adequately service a large market franchise within the historic outer shell of Soldier Field, and there aren't other options within the city where such a stadium can be built.- Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
Football and baseball are different dynamics. Only 9 home football games a year, nearly all on Sundays. Bears fans will drive to just about anywhere to go to games. Baseball plays 81 home games on all days of the week. Needs to be accessible to all. Is there any reason (aside from not wanting to give up parking revenue) that the Sox couldn't develop the NW corner of 35th/Wentworth into an dining/entertainment district?- If the Sox trade for Juan Soto we have a chance.
No team is going to give up All-Star major leaguers for Soto. It's not really even worth discussing anyway as the Sox aren't going to extend him. Only real suitors are the NY/LA teams.- Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
2) barring a massive change in how teams receive TV revenue, this is NEVER happening. There's no market the Sox can move to where they would get anywhere near the TV money they're getting now. 1) would help, but that's not the biggest obstacle 3) is really the one impediment to competing with the Cubs in attendance. Having ownership that prioritizes winning and the fans over the bottom line will produce a product that will naturally outdraw the Cubs without having to try.- Dylan Cease screwed out of All-Star spot
I don't know if it's an official policy or not, but guys who aren't available to play/pitch never seem to get picked as replacements to the original team. Of course he should have been on the original team but this could explain why he's getting passed over as a potential replacement.- And That’s a Fu*$ the Twins WINNER!
