Signing Leury to a 3 year deal and signing Kelly at all were dumb moves. Unless you want to convince me that JR specifically directed Hahn to sign those guys, Hahn doesn't get entirely off the hook just because the owner is bad. There were much better uses of $13.5 million both this year and next that could have made this team a lot better without going over budget.

At this point, I think Eloy/Robert/Grandal are either too injured or perhaps in Grandal's case too old to be as productive the rest of this season as they'd need to be to make a playoff run regardless of other acquisitions. As such I'm not in favor of giving up any of the top 15-20 prospects to improve this team unless you're landing Soto or Ohtani. Just wait until the offseason when trade acquisitions cost less. If you can get someone like Peralta or Gallo without giving up anybody of consequence, do it. They can soak up some outfield time so Eloy and Robert can get some more IL time in August-September and be 100% going into next season. I'd 100% move Abreu if you can get anything good for him. Doesn't change the ability to bring him back next year if that's what you want. Would dump Pollock and Kelly and eat money if it means getting something good in return, but if not then just keep them.

Cueto has a 2.89 ERA and is somehow 4-4 and that tells you everything you need to know about this team.

There are three ways this can go: 1) Sox make a huge splash for someone like Soto, or dare I say Ohtani. 2) Sox give up valuable prospects for marginal improvements 3) Sox give up nothing of real value for marginal improvements I'm fine with either 1 or 3. Just don't land in the middle.

I agree on Lynn but disagree on Hendriks. There will be more SP available in FA than closers. That said, I don't think trading Lynn gets you anything good enough to make it worthwhile.
