  1. That's only going to affect the ultra-wealthy who can afford gas.
  2. Leury was still 3 steps away from 3B when Alvarez got to the ball in medium LF.
  3. It's like a non-stop madlib [SOX PLAYER] left the game with a [BODY PART] injury and will be out [NUMBER] [DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS]. [CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS PLAYER] will be called up to replace him.
  4. What a 5 minutes for AJP. He blasts a 3 run HR and his college team just took a 5-1 lead on Texas.
  5. He won't have to move much given where Houston is hitting the ball.
  6. Brantley can't hit that 2-2 pitch unless he's 100 PERCENT CERTAIN that a fastball is coming.
  7. OK, 24 is really old for a college pitcher and I certainly wouldn't waste a high round pick on him, but damn if JM Bertrand doesn't remind me a lot of Mark Buehrle and Dallas Keuchel (pre-2021). Dude gets ground balls all day long. Would definitely consider him in rounds 16-20.
  8. If Harrison isn't going to start over Leury against a LHP, then they might as well DFA him.
  9. My guess as to the reason why is that very few of the times Jose has faced Verlander have been in April/May.
  10. Then trade one of them or something. Too many righty bats in this lineup.
  11. If you actually get everybody healthy, you rotate Vaughn, Eloy, Pollock, maybe even Robert sitting vs RHP.
  12. I know we're a ways off from the trade deadline, but if the FO is serious about winning this year, they have to acquire a big lefty bat soon. Only 13 of the remaining 101 games are against Detroit's pitchers.
  13. Some teams are stuck with one guy being dead money for many years, but thanks to the way the FO runs the Sox, we get to experience new dead money players every year!
  14. https://tv.apple.com/us/room/apple-tv-major-league-baseball/edt.item.62327df1-6874-470e-98b2-a5bbeac509a2 This page says, "free for a limited time." Doesn't say when that limited time ends, but I'm gonna guess it's not in the next 8 hours.
  15. So the argument for keeping Harrison and sending Mendick down is then if you have an injury later in the year, you have someone to bring up.
  16. Mendick and Burger are the only position players who can be sent down. Unless the Sox are willing to DFA Harrison and I doubt they would resort to that yet, Mendick probably goes down before Burger.
  17. Eloy for Ian Happ. Which team says no?
