  1. It is only the first game of spring training, don't read too much into it. Most guys are shaking off rust and working on things.

    Penn & Teller

Yeah, I love watching Penn and Teller make these guys look like fools.......oh wait, they make themselves look like fools just by opening their mouths. Tonights episode is on breast implants and penis enlargment scams. Should be a riot.

    Penn & Teller

Anyone else see "Penn & Teller: Bulls***!" last night on Showtime? The episode with all the nutcases predicting the end of the world was hilarious. They had some guy that built a bomb shelter by buring 47 old school buses under ground. During the interview he could only describe the shelter from above ground because the local authorities had condemend it due to unsafe conditions. Penn & Teller
  4. I stopped posting there long ago, I almost never even look at that board anymore. My brother, zach61, still goes over there occasionally. There is too much garbage to wade through on that board now. There are a few people there like ChisoxJohn, Joel Horlen, keaddy, Sox2k3, and others that I wish would come here. Tell ChisoxJohn to get over here already.

    Official Men Post!

Heading to some retirement homes with a full stock of Viagra?
  6. Wasn't "I just wanna feel some boobs. Grab some ass." a hit single for the Commodores back in the '70s. I think it was the B-side to "Three Times a Lady". Another big hit was "Grease it Up..Slide it in". Many a young lad f***ed some girl's brains in to that love ballad.

    Official Men Post!

I am 35 and my wife won't keep up with me. How come I am married to the only woman that has a decreased sex drive after 30? I am more horny now than when I was a teenager and there is no Viagra involved. Now I am all worked up and will have to go home and beat off to porn.
  13. Thanks apu, I already did some searching and found it. For anyone else, here it is Edwin Black
  14. Yes I am. I don't beleive it is about oil however, and I beleive that those in charge go above and beyond our elected officials. There are people on the planet with a lot more power.

    Mike Smith

None of that will make a difference until the Wirtz family sells the team. Who do you think really makes the decisions on which players to sign, Smith? It all comes from one man who cares more about his liqour distributorship than his hockey team. Make Sutter the GM and things will still be the same. This would be a typical conversation: Sutter: "Mr. Wirtz, {insert name of NHL star here} is a free agent and in the prime of his career. He wants {insert dollar amount here} a year. If we sign him we will finally have some offense." Wirtz: "That's funny money. I am not sacrificing personal holdings to pay for players. Isn't {insert name of 40 year old NHL player that once was good but is now past his prime} available for next to nothing? Sign him and bring back the roar." Sutter: "Yes sir. Another issue we have is that {insert name of player that was drafted by team and just about to hit his prime} will be a free agent next year and we should think about signing him long term. He wants {insert dollar amount here}. This guy is a cornerstone of our future." Wirtz: "That's crazy! Tell him we will give him half that, if he balks then make it even less. Make sure that we start a smear campaign in the media to make it look like he is greedy and doesn't want to play in Chicago. Then trade him for some more draft picks or another cheap veteran. Oh and by the way, increase the price of the tickets on the glass from $250 to $500, the Mezzanine from $75 to $150 and the 300 level from $25 to $40. We have to make up the money from missing the playoffs somehow. In fact, charge $20 for parking now and $10 for beer. It is all just funny money anyway."
  16. So in other words, the U.S. was desperately needed to bail out the Soviet Union before they finally broke and fell to the Nazis? How then did we not play a major part in bailing out the rest of the world in that war? I never said we have been angels throughout history, I was merely stating that we had a bigger involvement in WWII than just "decisive victory over Japan upon development of Nuclear Bomb." It is wrong to devalue the contribution made by our veterans of that war by making that generalized statement. The fact that hundreds of thousands of American soldiers fought and died to liberate Europe from a madman has nothing to do with what is happening today with Iraq. We shouldn't be sending troops to die in Iraq.....we had really no other choice in WWII. The two situations are not even close to being the same. About the U.S. not getting involved until they saw it "sensible", don't forget that there were anti-war movements in the 40's. Up until the attack on Pearl Harbor the majority of American citizens felt it was none of our business to save Russia and the U.K., and our only concerns should have been ending the depression and taking care of things here at home. WWI had ended only 22 years before Hitler started taking over Europe, and many people didn't want us involved in Europe's affairs again. Even after we entered WWII there was still a small part of the population that thought we should not be overseas. F.D.R. was under pressure from the people of the U.S. to stay out of the war, and that didn't change until Pearl Harbor. Did he know about Pearl Harbor in advance? Did Churchill? Perhaps, who knows. But think of how much longer the war would have dragged on and how many more lives lost had we not been involved before the Nazis had even more of a foothold and more resources. Had they taken Stalingrad and had access to the vast oil fields beyond the Volga river, their war machine may never have been stopped. If not for being stretched to the limits in a two front war that would most likely have happened. By the way, I never heard that about IBM, do you have a link to that? I am always interested in learning something new.
  17. Now I agree that this impending "war" with Iraq is b.s., but how can you slap the veterans of WWII in the face by saying they had little to do with the outcome of that war? Here are some casualty statistics . It looks to me as if there were a lot of American lives lost overseas in that war. As opposed to American soldiers, how many non-American soldiers were left lying dead on the beaches of Normandy, on the island of Iwo Jima, or in the Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge? Here are some of the divisions that fought in the Ardennes, and here is a little bit about who had how many caualties. Please tell me which country supplied the bulk of the 67 allied divisions? How can you tell the men of the 101st Airborne division that bailed out the British airborne in Montgomery's failed "Market Garden" plan that they didn't have a major role in WWII? Please take a look at this bit about Omaha beach and tell me which soldiers were part of the invasion that was the bloodiest and cost the most lives? Like I said, I won't argue that this current invasion of Iraq is senseless, but I can't just watch as someone dishonors the brave men from this country that had a HUGE impact on the liberation of Europe in WWII. I will agree with you that the other allied countries of Europe had a much bigger role in WWI and that Korea and Vietnam were countries America should have stayed out of (like Iraq today). I am not trying to attack you personally, but you should check a little bit of history before you reduce America's involvement in WWII to simply "decisive victory over Japan upon development of Nuclear Bomb."
  18. Lot's of good free porn on there too.
  19. I was going to become a Libertarian, but I had a lot of trouble learning the Dewey Decimal System. Plus, I don't look good in those half glasses with the chain to keep them around your neck.
  20. Forget all this weak s***. Start playing some Effigies, D.R.I, Cro-Mags, Murphys Law, 7 Seconds, Lost Cause, Generation Waste, and Bad Brains. All you little suburbanites would have s*** your pants at an all-ages show at the Igloo or the Bank back in the mid 80's. Hell, even the Metro had some great shows back then.
  21. I think he is headed to "Make Believe" land to talk King Friday into giving him a fat contract.
  22. Naked Raygun rules over them all.
  23. I love my SUV, I wish I would have known I could write it off. I could use the extra money to buy some more steaks to cook on my charcoal grill this summer. f*** the environment, I will be dead long before the average temperature is 200 degrees on the planet (if that even happens). By that time nature will probably have decided to send us spinning off our axis and into the sun anyway, and there will be nothing that can be done about that. I wonder if the dinosaurs were worrying about the environment right before that asteroid crashed into the planet and toasted all of them? Oh well, f*** it, enjoy what you can while you can.
