Swisher has at least had some very important hits. I can't say he's one of my favorites, though. I do think if we could squeak into the playoffs he might be one of those guys to kick ass. As of now, he sort of depresses me. His supporters keep bringing up the face he draws walks.

Bill Melton had another unique batting style which we kids loved to emulate. He hit a lot of HRs (at least in White Sox terms) for some really bad teams. He was one of my favorite players. Those red unis were dumb though. Wasn't Melton a teammte of Bee Bee Richard?

I thought Floyd and Danks would stink. They've been two reasons we are where we are. I thought it was a mistake not having Fields on the team. KW's biggest gaffe might be the Griffey acquisition.

We may regret simply giving away Richar in the deal for Mr. Big though they say second basemen are a dime a dozen.

It woulda been nice to take 3-4 versus Boston Frankenstein but that's no easy task. We really need to sweep KC. I don't think it's easy to sweep anybody though, especially a team we've played so much of late. Royals certainly don't fear us. We need to keep Butler quiet. He's hit a few bombs the second half and is hitting much better aside from an oh for 5 the other day.

Man, that is so wild. Four at NY that late in season?? Three at pesky KC and three at a place that is a house of horrors for us. All I can say is if we make the playoffs we sure deserve it. The bottom line is we can hope for no better than 2-2 in New York, a sweep of KC (if our team has any balls) and then one of 3 or 2 of 3 in Minn. Let's say 2 of 3 in Minn, that would be a trip of 7-3 at the very best. If we only win 2 of 3 in KC it'd be 6-4.

The only game I saw on TV Griffey looked almost fat. I don't know if that's the case, but it sounds like this guy is a disaster in cf.

I haven't seen him play center on TV yet but I have read many comments. Is he way worse than Swish out there? If he is ... he can't be out there any more. KW and Oz can't be that dumb.

I think I forgot Kittle on my list. I loved copying his batting style. He was very likeable. Saw him hit a roof shot one time. He hit more than one.

Somebody made a good point on here when we got Griffey saying the casual fans would be loving the move, but he knew better. Mighta been right. Is this guy's presence helping us at all?

Tough crowd as usual. Crede's numbers in a season when he's coming back from serious back surgery 255 .323 .474 .797 . He has 17 homers and 54 RBIs. He was on the all-star team. But he's a pop up machine. I get it.

You guys drive me crazy. In the exact same sitn the Red Sox swung away, hit into DP and also didn't score. You just must want Oz given the boot no matter what. The bunt was the correct call.
