  1. That's a cool story about the emails. Nice stuff.
  2. Yeah a game would be nice if Minnie does indeed go 5-1 or 6-0. Ever since somebody posted that thread about us having to play 4 in New York, 3 in Minnie and three in KC in late September, I've felt kind of queasy overall about our chances.
  3. I'd think it will be pretty obvious if his back is bothering him. Maybe not. I'd think there are ways a guy like Oz, who played the game forever, could figure it out. I applaud Juan for that play tonight, but I am not a big Juan Uribe fan. I am a big Joe Crede fan.
  4. If Broadway pitches well, will Nancy Faust serenade the crowd with "Give My Regards to Broadway" as he exits to loud applause?
  5. I forgot about him. How many big league wins did he attain? He was pretty strong when he was on.
  6. I'm mostly serious. Can you imagine them not going at least 5-1 in the next six at home? And Yanks usually beat the s*** out of Minnie.
  7. Well I don't have the stats. What has Juan hit in his last 50 at bats? If Juan plays D like this and can actually produce at the plate, I guess I'd keep Juan in there and spell him with Joe. Give me Juan's BA and RBIs over his last 50 at bats. I am not of the belief Crede is suddenly a bad fielder. You better believe Oz and KW are not going to play him if he's hurting. I tend to trust Oz on this one rather than panic about Joe's return.
  8. The way the Twins are playing you'd think it's 5-1 minimum probably 6-0. They actually won a series vs. the Yankees? My god. Twins equal amazing; Yanks may be finished as they actually lose a series to Minnie, a team they normally own.
  9. Guys, I trust our manager and GM. If Crede's back is lame he won't play. I think the guy is a damn good player and I want him back IF HEALTHY. To say Uribe is the answer I think is insane. He's playing well right now. I'd rather have Joe.
  10. Great point. A lot of us think we know it all. I wonder if all MLB message boards have so many people who know it all. I mean Broadway may suck tomorrow but Richard sucked as well. I see no reason to make Carrasco a starter. Might as well trot out another candidate. We gave Richard 3 shots and he sucked. Hope our bats are alive tomorrow. They should be against another royals righy but youneverknow.
  11. Yes Balta, but he's a good fielder. He'll get it back.
  12. I like the enthusiasm, but isn't it crazy how close the race is and is going to be? Whoopie we'd be one whole game up! Great job Mark, especially in the inning when he made the error. Way to dig deep. Gotta love the relief job. That's good Dotel. We need that the next 6 weeks. He gets paid a lot. Do what you did tonight, Dotel. Royals are back in their usual funk. Glad to see us dispose of them easily. We really do need to complete the sweep this time. They are playing lousy.
  13. Why? Tell me what are so bad his stats coming off a serious back surgery? I mean Uribe is no superstar. I just don't get comments like this.
  14. They shoulda got kicked out of the Cell. That is bulls***. Assaulting White Sox fans is complete crap in our own yard. Cmon security, do you job in big series where you know the other team has asshole fans.
  15. What were they doing bearsox? I'd be interested in hearing about those pricks.
  16. Just for grins, if somehow we lost this game would you give up being a fan forever?
  17. Now this is fun. It's how as a fan you hope you'd dump the crummy Royals, at least in our home park.
  18. Great job Vaz you're done for the night. It's Bobby time.
  19. I've heard tons about Royals prospects all year living here and really nothing about this Smith guy. They have a foreign player in AA who is doing very well.
  20. Why was Vazzy so aggressive tonite? Is it the Royals or the new Vaz?
  21. I just wish he'd get red hot and be the Griffey of Hall of Fame stature.
  22. Anybody officially worried or bummed about the acquisition of Griffey?
  23. Can you imagine the game thread if we lose tonight? It'll be ugly.
  24. Swisher has at least had some very important hits. I can't say he's one of my favorites, though. I do think if we could squeak into the playoffs he might be one of those guys to kick ass. As of now, he sort of depresses me. His supporters keep bringing up the face he draws walks.
  25. Bill Melton had another unique batting style which we kids loved to emulate. He hit a lot of HRs (at least in White Sox terms) for some really bad teams. He was one of my favorite players. Those red unis were dumb though. Wasn't Melton a teammte of Bee Bee Richard?
