This Det. pitcher has been roughed up lately which usually means problems for us. Let's hope Paulie connects as well as Dye.

If we sweep, I would be thrilled but I think it'd be a miracle. Detroit completely torched KC the last 3 nights, a team we were lucky to go 3-3 with recently.We're going to have to play great baseball to win the series at Det. Then comes the indoor baseball crap. Then KC again. Worst case scenario: We lose 2 of 3 to Det, 3 of 4 to Minnie and two of three to KC to go 3-7. Best case scenario: Win 2 of 3 in Det; win 3 of 4 in Minnie and sweep KC for a 8-2 trip.

But the topic is booing. Walker responded to idiots booing Paulie.

How can you say he's contributed nothing since coming back from injury when as somebody stated he started the winning rally yesterday. I repeat, he sucks right now, but he does not deserve to be booed ... ever. Like Walker pointed out, this guy contributed greatly to our city getting something it NEVER GETS. A WS title. That is where I differ from you. Because it was one of my greatest moments, I do not forget the person who provided me with such happiness. I think it says I am an idiot if the same person who gave me joy now is somebody I want to boo. I would call myself an ingrate if I wanted to boo Paulie cause he sucks now. Bullpen, just three hits (though two were homers), four errors, not excellent starting pitching equals another loss at home. This could be the Ozzie explosion day unless our hitters crush the ball the next 3 innings against a team with bad pitching.

Detroiit is right where it wants to be. The Tigers didn't bury themselves completely early, now they are letting their high paid talent roll. Hopefully their pitching is still a question mark and we can hang in the race with them and Minnie. We didn't let them back in. We are not the 1912 Yankees; we are what we are (I hate sayings like it is what it is).

So Richard strikes out seven, but gives up seven hits in just a 4 inning stint. That's a 9.00 era for today. Are we excited about his potential, or was he awful? I didn't see it. He obviously didn't have the kind of start he would have had against the White Sox, who rarely hit guys nobody has ever heard of.

I hope he proves you wrong too 'cause we need to win the rubber game of this series.

Good post on Paulie. I know one thing: If we are gonna beat Detroit and Minnie next week, it would help if he becomes the old Paulie. If he would get hot, it'd really help our team since Oz and KW are sticking with him. I don't know why Brian would rip on Paulie in that post. The return of that other post is perilously close to happening.

Dye is such a stud most of the time. Man, great hitting. Mark comes through when we need it. Can you believe Detroit is only 5.5 out?? Wow. There's going to be some amazing baseball coming up on our next road trip. Hope we come to play every night. Paulie may blow ... but he sure could help us out as a veteran power bat if he finally starts hitting on that road trip. This could be a wild 3 team race the rest of the way. Hope we're up to it. Detroit has totally kicked the s*** out of a KC team we were 3-3 with recently. Please win the rubber game vs. Tex, White Sox. Losing 4 of 6 on the homestand could put us in a somber mood heading into Death Row.
