This is by no means a slam at Linebrink, but wow, pitchers today have so many problems. Are we ever gonna see a 300 winner again aside from some possible old guy close to 300 now? I say no way. I'm not implying Linebrink would win 300 as he's a reliever. It's amazing all the arm problems and pitchers like Zito hitting the brick wall. Hope he can keep the arm strength all season.

As many times as we play these teams, we're going to lose some to them. I think this is our first loss in The Cell to these stiffs this year. I wish we could go 18-1 versus KC but it ain't gonna happen (assuming we play them 19 times; I think that's it). It would be nice to win every series we play against them, though.

It's funny you mentioned Swisher's leftside stance. I was thinking the other day he's a pretty good righthanded hitter compared to lefty. I was too lazy to look up the stats so I don't know if that's the case or not, but he seems to attack the ball better as a righty.

Is Alexei a great ss defensively? If so, fine, but it'd be nice to pencil him in at second for the next 10 years. He's a great hitter and appears comfy at second. Maybe he's just as good at ss, just asking.

I think it'd be a fun series. No. 1, it would be great for the great city of Chicago. It'd be so great to see the pre-game pieces the network would do on Chicago. It'd be all Chicago all the time. As far as the Sox winning or losing. ... I agree with the post that it's huge the AL won the all star game. That'd be sweet if we could go 2-0 in the Series and get them on their heels heading into Wrigley. It'd be very tough to take losing to them though if that was to somehow happen.

Here's a novel concept: Why don't you stop telling people what to do? As far as the game ... nice to see the Sox go nuts offensively early against a good pitcher. Good to see Carlos pick up where he left off the first half. Hitless in the all star game, he was great tonight again. Dye ... wow. OC and AJP get just one hit but they were big in the first inning, responding to KC's early run. Paulie got a nice single and I was distracted at the time but it looked like he hit the ball hard on his last out as well. Crede two hits and two RBI; Swish gets a hit and RBI. 36,000 fans.
