Maybe because in his opinion in his more than 20 years in baseball, Ozzie feels Anderson is one big whiff. One big stiff. Ozzie doesn't like him. What is so hard to understand about that. Like it or not, the White Sox manager does not like Brian Anderson. I think that by now is pretty apparent.

I don't understand why people want to trade Freddy so badly. Take a look around baseball. He's in the upper echelon, but we need to get rid of him. Stupid.

What if we traded Thome for big-time relief pitching. Signed Barry Bonds for one year to replace Thome. Traded for Griffey for prospects. Wouldn't that be wild stuff???

Maybe, but it will take a long while before people stop blaming Ozzie and KW. We definitely need to trade one of our starters and let him start. I wouldn't mind trading two and getting another lefty starter as well. Do you guys think Mark Redman is a stiff? Again, he is a free agent and won 11 of KC's games. Not bad for such a crap team. Detroit made a masterful move getting an old guy lefty like Rodgers. Rotation Mark B Jon Brandon Fred/Vas (other one traded) Redman or Moyer trade Jose (I like Jose) Trading Fred or Vas and Jose for some stud middle relievers and/or leftfielder.

Great question. I'm not a big Clemens fan but I liked what you said about the Stroh fans treating you well at the Series. Their owner was pretty complimentary when we won it also. I hate watching postseason games at the Twinkydome but for some reason I want to see Detroit blow the division title. In the final analysis, it might be best for the Twins or Tigers to win it all so next year they will have the letdown we had this year.

I don't think beaning him would be a good idea. Who cares what he said about the Sox. He and his team backed it up. Get 'em next year. Let him stay healthy for whatever run his team has left in it.

Time to find Mariotti's columns from last postseason. I don't think he was celebrating the title calling the team all these things. He wanted the last word and got it. That's why sports figures should never argue with those who sell ink by the barrel. They get the last word every time. These "near chokers" as he classlessly called last year's Sox made his company a lot of money last year with all their books and special sections celebrating these near chokers' title. I can't believe a grown man added this comment in his rip column "There was a moment in Boston when A.J. If we ever do trade Mark I hope it's too St. Louis as a favor to Mark. That said ... why get rid of another of our most popular players? Fans love this guy. I was back in Chicago and saw Buehrle jerseys all over the place. Isn't he our new Frank Thomas? He was Mr. Home Run ball though the second half. Hope he rests up a couple months. I wouldn't worry about Crede. It sounds like he's a gamer who has played in a lotta pain already. Now if you are talking Mike Sweeney's back ... that's a different story. Somebody figured out he earned 200,000 bucks a game this year, he missed so many.

He gets more praise than Garland for gawdsakes. BMac ought to pitch so loose next year. For whatever he does if he fails people will blame Oz for misusing him even though it was KW who acquired an extra starter forcing BMac to the pen. It's Fred, Jon then Vas to finish up. I'd give a standing O to the fact they are our team, but not to their performance. Bmac should host his own radio, tv show. He should run for office. Never has a guy done so little and gotten so much praise. I mean I hope he does well, but man, the manlove.

Why would the Phils let Rollins go? Not everybody trades integral parts of Series teams like we foolishly did with glue guy Rowand. Should we take a chance and sign Redman of the Royals. He had 11 of their 50 wins. Not too bad when you think bout it? Another lefty? Cheap?? How bout it.

Yes, but I'm not a Mackowiak fan either. I know he hit better the second half. Call me a moron but sometimes I go by what I see. The guy never knocks in a run and has so many horses*** at bats. I hope he has a future. I won't give up on him cause it takes time sometimes. Crede proved that. But it will be a gamble to give BA the job again next year I think. I'm not that crazy about Pierre, either. I guess given a choice between JP and BA, I'd take brian. I just hope he can start to bang the ball around the park and hit with authority. You don't argue, do you, that BA has some (majority) abysmal at bats?

I did also envision him being the guy who would get a ton of appearances as our main middle relief "set up" guy. If the numbers back you up on BMac (I'm too lazy to look it up) then I can buy your argument. I thought you meant BMac was messed up by not getting to start when we already had five. my bad.

Oh my God. I hope you read Flash Tizzle's response to this. Balta, you are blaming Ozzie for perhaps "robbing him of the chance to be the dominant pitcher we saw at the end of 2005?" If BMac is that sensitive, my gawd, he is nothing to begin with. We had 5 starters this year. The Organization as Tizzle said, wanted BMac to fill the middle relief role. We had five starters. How did Ozzie rob him of anything; it gave McCarthy a chance to stay in the big leagues. Nobody in the world was going to start BMac over any of our five starters once we got Vas. It's KW's fault for acquiring Vas if anything.

I don't think Soriano is a "terrible option" unless you are solely talking about the money factor. He would have been a big pickup at the all star break. Impossible to second guess KW, cause we had a great record at the time, but in hindsight, he would have been incredible pickup.

That was one of the best quotes of the year. I still say players win games. Our pitching staff really truly was horses***. Do you all think it'll get better on its own or are we hosed for next year as well? I mean we could trot out Jon, Mark B, Jose, (Vas or Fred) and BMac and they could get lit up from Day One and we could be the new Royals. Do we need 2 new starters just in case this staff is the real Sox staff??
