If we started our A team the whole series, we'd have lost game one and/or two, probably both. It was that kind of second half. Det. can't complain; we at least pitched our best guys.

I simply love Joe, but I have no problem saying bye bye if it's because of Boras. If Joe wants to go do the Yankee/Met/Red Sox thing, go for it, Joe. You'll be missed, but I can understand if KW can't deal with Joe's agent. Many of the small market teams don't bother, either with Boras. Bye Joe, you were a stud while it lasted.

It was fun. Thanks especially to those who lend their expertise with stats. Everybody has strong opinions about their favorites and guys they hate and the arguments are always civil. I for example think Garland is great and I think Ozzie is great. I also think BA is overmatched right now. And I hated the manlove for BMac. And I didn't believe our bullpen was as good as some cracked it up to be. Also I would prefer keeping Fred over Vas. But I respect all your opinions. It will be nice if the Bears can keep it going; it'd be a quicker winter I think if the Bears keep this up. But Feb. can't come soon enough. I hope it's Yanks v. mets so I have no desire to watch.

I have a feeling KW would rather quit than watch Pierre or Figgins next year. I don't think we have to worry about him getting one of the 2 for Oz. Oz likes managing the white sox. There will be no ultimatums. KW doesn't want Pierre, at least I hope not.

Let's hope KW's thumbs down in the media means no Pierre. Hopefully KW has no use for that slap hitter. Why not drop Pods, give Sweeney the job.

Frank is a stud. I think most White Sox fans would agree with that.

Did anybody catch the season highlights on the WGN pregame show? We had some incredible moments. Hawk and his "mercy" calls and his patented home run calls. Awesome. I still can't believe we're not going to the playoffs and the Twinks and Tigers are. Ninety plus wins and no playoffs. What a shame. Also we're pitching better of late and still might have had some of the best starting pitching for the postseason assuming BMac could pick up for Jose which it looks like he could judging from his start. Opportunity lost thanks to our s***ty bullpen except for Jenks. p.s. In the Oz interview with Roan he showed manlove for Sweeney and Charlie. It appears Oz never wants to see BA's face again, defense be damned.

I've been thinking about this. We need to do what it takes to get Ichiro. Agree?

Maybe because in his opinion in his more than 20 years in baseball, Ozzie feels Anderson is one big whiff. One big stiff. Ozzie doesn't like him. What is so hard to understand about that. Like it or not, the White Sox manager does not like Brian Anderson. I think that by now is pretty apparent.

I don't understand why people want to trade Freddy so badly. Take a look around baseball. He's in the upper echelon, but we need to get rid of him. Stupid.

What if we traded Thome for big-time relief pitching. Signed Barry Bonds for one year to replace Thome. Traded for Griffey for prospects. Wouldn't that be wild stuff???

Maybe, but it will take a long while before people stop blaming Ozzie and KW. We definitely need to trade one of our starters and let him start. I wouldn't mind trading two and getting another lefty starter as well. Do you guys think Mark Redman is a stiff? Again, he is a free agent and won 11 of KC's games. Not bad for such a crap team. Detroit made a masterful move getting an old guy lefty like Rodgers. Rotation Mark B Jon Brandon Fred/Vas (other one traded) Redman or Moyer trade Jose (I like Jose) Trading Fred or Vas and Jose for some stud middle relievers and/or leftfielder.

Great question. I'm not a big Clemens fan but I liked what you said about the Stroh fans treating you well at the Series. Their owner was pretty complimentary when we won it also. I hate watching postseason games at the Twinkydome but for some reason I want to see Detroit blow the division title. In the final analysis, it might be best for the Twins or Tigers to win it all so next year they will have the letdown we had this year.

I don't think beaning him would be a good idea. Who cares what he said about the Sox. He and his team backed it up. Get 'em next year. Let him stay healthy for whatever run his team has left in it.

Time to find Mariotti's columns from last postseason. I don't think he was celebrating the title calling the team all these things. He wanted the last word and got it. That's why sports figures should never argue with those who sell ink by the barrel. They get the last word every time. These "near chokers" as he classlessly called last year's Sox made his company a lot of money last year with all their books and special sections celebrating these near chokers' title. I can't believe a grown man added this comment in his rip column "There was a moment in Boston when A.J. Pierzynski caught a foul pop, appeared ready to hand it to someone in the stands, then teased the poor fans by keeping the ball as only A.J. would. It was typical of a club that had a high opinion of itself but couldn't back it up." Tease the poor fans? Wanna bet one of those poor Boston fans was filling AJ with the F bomb the entire game??? Give me a break, please.

If we ever do trade Mark I hope it's too St. Louis as a favor to Mark. That said ... why get rid of another of our most popular players? Fans love this guy. I was back in Chicago and saw Buehrle jerseys all over the place. Isn't he our new Frank Thomas? He was Mr. Home Run ball though the second half. Hope he rests up a couple months. Does anybody know what pitchers do in offseason? Do they still pitch on the side or shut it down til February??

I wouldn't worry about Crede. It sounds like he's a gamer who has played in a lotta pain already. Now if you are talking Mike Sweeney's back ... that's a different story. Somebody figured out he earned 200,000 bucks a game this year, he missed so many.

He gets more praise than Garland for gawdsakes. BMac ought to pitch so loose next year. For whatever he does if he fails people will blame Oz for misusing him even though it was KW who acquired an extra starter forcing BMac to the pen. I hope we keep Fred and trad Mr. Six inning but I realize I'm in the minority there and Fred will be the one to go.

It's Fred, Jon then Vas to finish up. I'd give a standing O to the fact they are our team, but not to their performance. It will be a miracle if we don't get swept if the Twins truly want to win the division and not face the Yanks who would sweep them. That was a big win for the Twinks tonight. Down to last at bat against the pathetic Royals and bam home run.
