I'm not all that confident when any of our late inning guys come in nowadays. Bobby can be great and also bad. I feel about Viz the way some of you do marte. Viz really sucks.

I blame the players just as much as Ozzie. Is it Ozzie's fault that Marte can't throw strikes? Is it Ozzie's fault that Jenks gave Boone a perfect pitch to hit? Yes, Ozzie could have managed the matchups better, but its the pitchers fault just as much as his. I agree with Felix. We all wanted Bobby to finish. How do you know Bobby wasn't gonna get rocked? he sure sucked on the at bat by Boone. s*** even Paulie. He gets a pretty good pitch to hit with 2 on in the ninth. Do you doubt Boone or any other Tribe would have bashed a hit in a similar situation? Paulie as much as I like him, popped out. Their players are better than ours.

It isn't Oz's fault Freddie sucked in the biggest game of his Sox career. The 4-0 lead was death even though we did battle back. We only win of late when we get DOMINANT pitching and he sucked.
  4. You are correct, sir.
  5. Don't forget, at home and with a good crowd, with the lead, Bobby got smoked for the game winning hit.
  6. Even if we had a great team right now we'd still be in trouble because of our closer situation. Hermy is toast it appears and Bobby is not a consistent closer.
  7. just like the people of new orleans are counting on the Saints to win like it's life or death right? don't make comments like that jack. i was trying to say think how badly people have it in REAL LIFE. This is just sports fantasy land compared to REAL LIFE issues in n. orleans.
  8. Not being able to take care of the royals this time of year just shows how ordinary to lousy a team we've become. We just keep hoping we can regain the first half magic but the reality is we're two diff. teams. This one sucks and may just be a tad better than the Royals if that.

  10. I still don't like your avitar. It makes me sad like this quickly deteriorating season.
  11. Don't mean to be crass or insensitive, just stating the obvious. As sick as I feel tonight, think if you owned a house in N. Orleans and had a job there and had to leave town 3 weeks ago, learned your house is ruined and you no longer had a job and the only clothes you had were on your back and in your backpack. This isn't life and death.
  12. A manager w/no feel for how to handle pitching - Inactivity at the deadline - Lack of a number 3 hitter - Terrible approach at the plate by our hitters - Fantastic Indians team - Starting pitching that was overused all season ....and much, much more Cant argue with you tonight. One thing is for sure. Any night we don't get DOMINANT starting pitching the rest of this season we are NOT going to win the game. Case closed.
  13. I'm not saying we will, but if we don't make the playoffs with the second class status of our team in Chicago and s*** ownership and all that ... it could take the Sox 20 years to recover from this season.
  14. Why is this happening to our team?
  15. We had to beat Kansas City ... we had to win all 3 versus Minnie cause we knew Cleve would beat up KC ... we had to win the opener of the three game series in the Cell ... we never do what we need to do. We're f***ed.
  16. that was the one; he missed it; game over
  17. that was low, but what they hey
  18. This is so weird; the lovable Paulie is at the plate.
  19. When it's 20 below and snowing and icing this winter we'll be wishing we could be playing cleveland in september .... or maybe not.
  20. Can we show some major balls and rally? Gee, it's only the entire season at stake
  21. Freddie Garcia should be ashamed of himself. thanx freddie for shutting down the Tribe at home
  22. Why aren't bob howry and wickman still members of the Sox? Why did Crede just swing at that 2-1 pitch? amazing.
  23. When Everett hit that home run, it should have been the end of the Tribe's magical run. We win and hold them off. Instead the Tribe has come to Chicago and stuck it up our ass. Amazing.
  24. Like Couch wrote, all we have is startng pitching. It's our only victory formula and Freddie gave up four; too many tonight. We got five runs. shoulda been enough.
  25. Now it's on to tomorrow; we got to win one of these three games somehow
