Read the posts. You guys can say all you want how nobody "hates" Abreu but if you read every Abreu post there's definitely an air of negativity regarding him. I understand completely your guys' points about his projection in the future and age. I just don't agree.

Would you say the Abreu through the first four years offered "extra value?" How could his stats have been any better? For a 4-year run it had to be in the top 5 in White Sox history. Tough crowd on Soxtalk.

Not really. I definitely think she was smart in tweeting it. She can't control Trump's dumb tweet about the business being filthy. Dick you are wrong here. If that happened to anybody social media savvy they'd tweet it. Sanders played it well, but didn't play being a victim. I wouldnt blame her.

I don't know why some of you guys think a veteran like Abreu won't have tremendous value to the Sox on the field and in the clubhouse. I'd say this board consists of the Sox most passionate fans and for the most part the most stat savvy fans and I think we can conclude "most" of you won't lose any sleep over trading Abreu. It makes very little sense to me because as we've seen in Moncada and Lopez and Gio, these guys are all potentially fine players but to tell you the truth, Abreu's stats the past four years are close to the ceiling of what you should "expect" from Robert, Rutherford, all those studs we have now. Maybe Eloy is projected to do a bit better. I maintain to you Abreu has incredible value to the Sox being the veteran in the clubhouse and on the field. I contend his lousy production of late probably has to do with his mental state of mind. Playing for such a loser of an organization to this date has to wear on you during your at bats.

Well the Sarah Sanders story has just about run its course, used up its 15 minutes of fame. How did everybody come out? Looks like Sanders came across as a classy person, just walking away and going home. She was not seen as much of a victim though. She'll continue on her daily duties fighting the media and vice versa. The left has to be happy she did not emerge heroic. b.) Restaurant owner survives not apologizing, sounds as if she continues to lay low she'll be fine. Who cares if she's not running the downtown business association any more? She might watch out for a lunatic or two for another week or so but she'll be fine. c.) The person who advocated doing this to Trump supporters everywhere and "pushing back" has survived without issuing an apology. I forget her name. So why was this story moderately important? More hatred in America exhibited. People hating on each other is not good.

It's going to be great when all our players are between 24 and 28 years old and there's no more talk of trades. You can say what you want about "nobody hates Abreu" on this board but there's a general malaise about Abreu, that he's basically finished. He's too old in the eyes of fans who pore over all the advanced stats. I don't know why fans think we're going to get anything for Abreu then. Are you all smarter than GMs throughout baseball? If he's too old for you don't you think he's too old for the other GMs? What's left is giving him away for 3 guys who will never sniff the majors. Weird world.

I don't. I wrote that when asked why I say I want Trump to succeed. I want anybody to succeed who can guarantee me not being homeless because of escalating healthcare costs.

I do hope Trump succeeds because quite frankly I'm a bit selfish. I want my bank account to last until I die. It'd be nice to have some cash in there after I die as well to give some moolah away. I don't think it's healthy to have millions of people in the future on the streets. That's got to be where we're headed when I read nobody has saved for retirement and normal medical bills will send millions onto the streets. It's going to be an ugly world 20 years from now with homeless everywhere, the streets the residence of the elderly. Look, for some reason when I read about spitting in food and putting cheese against ones butt and back on a sandwich of a political foe, I got red-faced, mad and said it was sub-human. I could have said the work of the devil. That's sub human as well as the devil is not human. It just sickens me and makes me think that person who would stick cheese on his butt and feed it to a person is sub human. The question is why haven't I gone as ballistic over ripping apart kids from their parents? I haven't freaked out so to speak. Well, it's too late to do so. So all I can do is give my position. I am against separating kids from parents. Do I think a person is sub human if they are the one to grab the kid and throw the kid in a cage? Of course. Is Trump himself sub human? I guess I wouldn't argue if you said he was, but at this point in time, I just think of him as a mega rich jerk.

Good post. I agree all those things you listed are much worse. But why can't I be outraged about Sanders situation as well? I can't argue that Sanders situation is worse than any item on your list. If you guys start threads on those issues I'd be happy to comment and show my disdain.

Thanks. I think you have me pegged correctly. I have a lot of leftist friends. I get along with them. We don't discuss politics. Quite frankly, if you took me at my word and assumed I'm not lying (which I'm not) you in Greg would see somebody who is a Republican but rarely votes Republican in an election and does not like Trump. I'm very mad at health care right now and like evrerybody else I shake my head at the weekly Trump shenanigans. That's why I'm leaning Bernie right now. I think a lot of peeps on here are jealous of me because I actually blast my own party as well as the other party. I think I'm as fair in that regard as any poster. Shit, I may be an Independent. I certainly don't agree with the Repubs only supporting the richest of the rich right now. I am as anti 'the man' as any human. How many of you can honestly say you are as open minded in termed of blasting both sides as me?? Be honest. Most of you are very very left and despise anybody who hints as being conservative. You don't know what to do with somebody like Greg.

I keep checking twitter to see if the owner/witch has apologized. What the owner did was really really rude, mean and divisive. It hurt businesses with the same name. It hurt a lot of peeps. And no apology.

What you cited is a big deal. I'm sorry that I don't freak out equally over all problems/injustices in the USA. Is that a minor deal? I think people are quite outraged. In fact the entire country pretty much forced Trump to sign that law not separating parents from kids. Balta I don't think the example you site is a minor deal or has been considered a minor deal. Anybody that throws a kid in a cage should be thrown in jail and never let out again.

In my case it's cause a.) I want to win now. I do not support the tank/rebuild. Many/most do not care about winning now and do support the tank/rebuild. b.) I do not like the idea of trading Abreu. I feel he should be untouchable; many want to deal him. c.) I don't care about players' ages; many don't want to commit to anybody in their 30s. Philosophical differences in my case so I fight a lot.

I love how to some people this is no big deal. It's awful that some restaurant owner would cause this stir. Not serving somebody over political affiliation.
