Sox can't even get a man on base against this horses*** team. Unbelievable. -

Royals had five home runs in last nine games. They have six this series. Welcome back, Team Suck. Geez when are we going to get a real team that doesn't do dysfunctional stuff??? -

Why is today a day game? Ridiculous. I was expecting the Sox to get to enjoy last night's rare win all day and by tonight maybe just maybe win another one. -

Our fans are the best to show up for this kind of hitting effort. -

I hate to be a dick, but I'd like to ask those of your who are coaches and/or Fathom. Do you think Anderson's style of hitting is conducive to putting the ball in play against MLB pitching? a.) his bat appears to be too long and too big for such a skinny guy. Can he get it around? b.) Is the bat too heavy? My opinion is he's in for trouble. Don't like his swing or his bat. Experts? Please tell me. -

Ned Yost gets credit for today's win. Moving Duffy up to silence the Sox before they think they can play with KC. -

Just hitting a foul ball is a victory today. Disgraceful effort. 2-6 vs. Royals. Again that's a fireable offense. -
QUOTE (SI1020 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 06:12 PM) Hawk and Stone have never had good chemistry. He had it with Tom Paciorek until he ran him out of the booth. My problems with Hawk are in the personal realm, I have no problems with his broadcasting style, which I know many of you hate. His ego, imperiousness and slavish devotion to Sox management are what bother me. As for Benetti he is a modern day cookie cutter announcer with a little extra flair, and a lot of his own brand of nerdy pop culture would be humor. There aren't going to be any more like Mel Allen, Bob Prince, Harry Caray, Ernie Harwell etc. etc. Times are much blander and vanilla in the broadcast booths these days. Very true. He is cookie cutter. But most cookie cutter guys don't cut as many jokes as he does.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 07:37 PM) Yeah, yesterday was the first time in a week they scored more than 1. Chris Young was originally scheduled to pitch, but he was passed over...Ventura tmrw. Quintana had only surrendered two homers all year, two more today. Bad luck, as they should have been outs but they still count. Damn, a manager who was working matchups. Knew we'd give them their ninth loss in a row so they switch to Duffy. they just didn't take the L for granted and did something about it against their rival. Sad we don't shoiw such fight. -

I thought Duffy was pitching Sunday. Did Royals pitch him today cause they knew he'd end the losing streak? Smart move. Q might have beaten whatever stiff they were going to pitch. It's possible anyway. We're 2-5 a lousy KC team this year Royals had five home runs in last nine games, lol. -
Guys like Sale won't come out of games. He obviously was furious at Ventura for taking him out.

Royals were smart enough to put Duffy back in the starting rotation. He'll dominate this division for years. Teams like the Sox can't hit a guy like Duffy. -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) The bunt was not bad. It advanced two runners. Melky does not hit Duffy very well. But, Garcia didn't have his head in the game Some managers never bunt. Bunting is always bad. -

Like Fathom said, our scouting is pathetic. Like I said before teh series, throw them straight fastballs and they will hit them out of a park like the Cell. -

I know we somehow won last night but have you noticed Sox have cured the Royals' hitting slump? They hadn't been hitting at all. What's with all these Royals fans at the Cell? Embarrassing. -
Watched most of the Ali funeral today. Pretty damn good stuff. I know from the past that Soxtalk is very anti religion with most people not believing there is a God. I will tell you one thing there are a lot of intelligent people on TV today at the Ali funeral who do believe in God. I mean Ali was a very smart person and his whole existence was for God. Same with his whole family, all those dignitaries who were speaking and talking about God. President Bill Clinton. If there is no God there sure are a lot of smart people who have been fooled.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 01:57 AM) When I watch a game in any sport, I listen for a few things. If the color guy is brilliant, I want the pxp man to serve him up 77 mph hangers all game and let him do his thing. I look for humor. I listen for genuine care and conversation between the two. In Bennetti and Stone's case, they have it. Hawk and Stone do not. Stone sounds excited and happy during home games and quite the opposite during away games. I cannot blame him, because Hawk's cliches, consistent interruptions and homerism get rather old. Good way to put it. Stone sounds happy at home games like you said. That's cause I'm sure he never knows what he's gonna get with Hawk. Hawk actually is too grumpy. And if he listens to the home games, which I doubt he does since that's why he wanted the time off in the first place, he'd be shocked at how much different a color man Stone is with a kid who sucks up to him rather than a grouch.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 04:28 AM) I blame Ventura for this win Don't get bitter about all us negative posters. 6-19 will do that to most fans. Realize you are an unusually positive fan.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 04:12 AM) At first when you watch him hit, that exaggerated bat wrap really scares you that he can't get around on a fastball (ala Viciedo/Beckham/Flowers/Garcia). But he's got ultra quick hands and the hand-eye coordination/physical tools are pretty obvious. Yes I agree with you. My first reax was exaggerated bat wrap and he's using too big a bat. Glad to see him pull that ball past third and rope it up middle.

First of all, f*** KC. Eight losses in a row! Damn if we could make it 10 in a row that would be monumental! Q normally is good for only five innings vs. KC. Please, Q, throw a better game! Anderson ... yes. This is our old winning formula. Home runs at the Cell. I would go for lift and pull in ALL home games. p.s. My mlb.com hasn't turned off the postgame. Whatever happened to Rongey? What does he do now for the Score? p.s.s. I can't believe Eaton is barely above .250 now. He needs to draw more walks and be more selective IMO.

The Royals have lost 7 in a row and are "fighting" to scratch this win out. Hilarious. Can u imagine if the Sox had a 7 game losing streak and were going against Scherzer? Uh 10-1 loss. Royals batter double digit hits off Sale and are primed to steal another one late. Thanks Abreu for that bonehead play! -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 03:46 AM) What are the odds that 8th theoretical run doesn't become a factor? Remember Austin Jackson recording an out at 3rd base the last time we played them? Was just gonna print that. Bye bye ballgame. We have our turning point.
