I just have a sneaky feeling if they fire Robin they are going to make a gawdawful hire like Buddy Bell. There's no hope right now.

I feel like I'm talking to myself but high school sports are big in Kansas where I've lived a while so I've tended to follow Brother Rice in football and basketball and have an interest. I still want to come back and go to a game on the south side sometime. I see Bro Rice outscored St. Laurence in another no huddle offense fest. I think it was 51-35. I could have sworn Rice's good back got hurt on the last series of the game, but the announcers didn't say who it was that went down on highschoolcube.com. Rice is 4-1 but I'm assuming Rice isn't a contender for anything significant courtesy of the 28-0 Loyola thrashing. I think Rice plays Mt. Carmel this week so another tough game. I remember back in the day St. Laurence was pretty good in football, but they kind of reek now. I also saw Marist lost to Benet Academy. Does Marist suck this season? Rebuilding or ? Benet is 4-1 but again I don't think that team is headed for anything significant. GO SOX!

Geezus...what a horrible position to take. I do hate the fact ballplayers can't hit for power anymore in most cases, but I'd rather see them flop than get 20 more feet on their fly balls because of pills/gels/liquids.

Say what you want about the horses*** Royals organization, but they've made the playoffs 2 years in a row now. Will there come a time the Sox are dominant again? It's not a bad trip. Stay at one of the major hotels down by the Riverwalk. The Mexican food joints down by the Riverwalk are not bad at all. There are some bars on the Riverwalk and a Hooters as I recall. The Alamo is cool and there are some neat old buildings. I'd take one of those bus tours of the city and make sure you stay down by the Riverwalk. I think there are 2 Marriott chain hotels down there that are fine.

Has anybody listened to Meghan McCain's radio talk show on America Now radio? It appears on one of the major KC area radio stations (980) Monday-Friday in the early evening hours here, and I think it's good talk radio. Why? She gets name and no-name guests and they talk politics and I've yet to hear the annoying screaming and talking over each other bulls*** that pervades almost all political talk shows. I can't watch those shows on cable TV, like Chris Matthews' show; like O'Reilly's show because it drives me crazy when guests scream over each other. I just can't take it. I was watching a clip of that former actor on MASH, Wayne Rogers, appearing on one of the shout-over-each-other political shows on FOX I believe or CNN and he finally gave up because whenever he started answering a question of the panel 2-3 others started screaming and he simple couldn't complete a sentence without some idiot talking over him. I don't know why that has become a popular format -- get 3-4 guests, put a question out there and the winner is whomever screams the loudest to get the floor. Sickening. McCain's show, no matter your affiliation, is informative cause there is civil discourse. For what it's worth, she favors Florina and does not like Trump. She also stood up for Cruz tonight. And she's a Hillary hater.

Adam Eaton is still only 26. He was a lower round draft pick which means he's an overachiever in baseball terms. The fact he's got his average up to .283 means he's had two pretty good offensive seasons in a row. So are you happy he looks like he'll be the Sox CF for at least the next 5-6 seasons? Did he gain so much more experience this year he'll be an all-star candidate in seasons to come? I will give him credit. I despised him earlier this season but now must give him props it looks like.
