Double plays suck so badly.
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:45 AM) Humber deserves another start after this outing I've seen enough; just cut him from my fantasy team. He reeks. Q-How many of you grilled tonight? I want a grilled hot dog bad.
-
Humber is a menace to himself (liners up middle) and opponents (balls at their heads and nuts).
-
Dodgers are hacking away. Give me a bat.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:33 AM) Yes, absolutely. Even Hawk is saying how terrible Humber has been tonight. Let's just hope he can give up another two scoreless innings. Hawk sounds pissed. I'm thinking he knows Humber just doesn't have what it takes. He needs to go on the DL for a while.
-
Has anybody noticed how loud the Dodger crowd is? I thought people were laid back in LA. Loud crowd.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:29 AM) Yes, I've seen plenty of managers that will pull their pitcher after allowing 8 hits in 3 innings (especially if they're one of the worst starters in baseball coming into the game). Seriously? After getting out of it with "just" four runs in three innings? Your starting pitcher?
-
I'm thinking a 5-4 lead doesn't mean much, tonight.
-
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:25 AM) Ugh, why the hell are we leaving Humber in there. I do think every manager in baseball would do the same thing, leave Horrible Humber in. Four runs in three innings sucks, but it's not seven, eight runs. YOu have to let your starter go five as long as his pitch count is OK. Seriously, don't you agree? No manager hooks Humber this early "only" giving up four. I do think he sucks, though.
-
Speaking of Rios, he's playing like a definite all star. My god he looks like a phenom up there. What is the deal with Rios' career? I can't even think of whom he reminds me of, up there this season. Tall, lanky and bashing everything. Why can't he do this year after year?
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:18 AM) Wtf do you want him to do fathom? Santiago is up throwing, he has been since the third run came in. Do you want Ventura to throw things? Get tossed out? In all fairness to Robin, you are f***ed as a skipper if your guy can't go five. The decision is made to start him. Once you start him, you have to let him try to go five, unless his name is Hochevar and he gets lit for seven in one frame. If Humber gave up 7, he'd have been hooked.
-
I predict he'll be put on the DL. We don't need any more long relievers who suck.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:16 AM) Send him to the bullpen for now. Axelrod is a better fit for the rotation than Humber right now. But we already got a meatball long relief guy in Zach. Dodgers really abusing the Sox. I'm smelling a sweep the wrong way. They are good n hungry.
-
QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:14 AM) Oh god there was not one time this season that humber deserved to be on a fantasy roster. I'm thinking he was OK from the get-go til the perfect game.
-
Crazy that in the same season as pitching a perfect game, Humber will likely be DL'ed, sent down or DFA'ed.
-
Humber's gonna get killed. He's one of the worst pitchers in baseball right now. He's done. He's gotta be sent down.
-
Bye bye Humber. A guy that throws a perfect game finally gets released from my fantasy team. Man he's meat.

The one good thing about letting everyone back into the race

The Royals are four back in the loss column. Will they ultimately pass the Sox? 15 games remaining vs. KC I think. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 05:29 AM) With regards to AJ, I really don't care if he pretends to hustle to first on a routine ground ball to 2nd. For him, he seems really slow behind the plate. He already has more passed balls this year than he had in each of the last two years, and his effort at blocking pitches in the dirt has been inconsistent. At least this is a reasoned argument. If he is "slow" behind the plate, maybe Fisk disease is hitting him. Fisk couldn't catch a pitch in his last season. It was sad.
-
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 05:00 AM) AJ might be the laziest ballplayer I've ever seen. I mean that. God, I hate him. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 05:04 AM) I do agree with that and I've honestly been more upset with PK's laziness. I think AJ not getting down on pitches could be helped if we rested him like a normal catcher Two of our best players this season getting absolutely FRIED on soxtalk. Wow. Paulie lazy?? AJ lazy? Tough tough crowd here.
-
Rios is a likeable fella this year. HR again.
-
No offense to Hudson, who won us one game, but he's another KW fail. I mean he's not getting it done. Bad acquisition. How many bad decisions does KW make compared to his good ones????
-
Has the NL passed the AL as the better league? Sox having troubles with everybody not named the Cubs.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 05:19 AM) Because he's consistently been a 2-3 ERA reliever with the White Sox for 1 1/2 seasons. Last time I checked, there's no such thing as a perfect reliever. But yeah, this really hurts. We badly needed this win tonight to stop the bleeding, and we knocked out Kershaw, had the best pitcher in the AL on the mound with a 5-1 lead and couldn't hold it. I must catch him on his bad nights. Seriously, when I watch him pitch he sucks big time. He earns a fat paycheck, too, doesn't he?

This is like the old days when we stunk. Ugh, frustration.
