I’m a 62-year old man. I have two grown sons and another in HS. I’m incredibly happily married. I enjoy my job and who I work with yet this win brought tears to my eyes. I’m a softie and a sucker for my teams especially when they’re so much fun! Edit…only one of the sons is a Sox fan. I claim the other two anyway.

You are what your record says you are. Look, I’ve mentioned this before, I coach above the HS level (not baseball) and analytics are a daily talking point. However, at the end of the day athletics, at any level, is measured is results. If you’re a 41 win baseball team then you’re a 41 win baseball team. There ain’t no putting lipstick on that pig.

Yeah. I’m sure the entire organization is satisfied and just said “screw it” for today’s game. Only the fans aren’t satisfied. The players are completely satisfied and don’t care about tonight’s game. The organization from the players to the manager to the front office have no idea about the difference between the 2 and 6 seed.

I’ve always despised the Red Sox more than the Yankees.
