Robert running with Abreu hitting biggest adjustment so far
We can only hope. There's the whole "if he can stay healthy" thing, as well as the whole "if he can adjust to the adjustments the league makes on him" thing, too. Luckily he seems like he's able to develop some semblance of patience out there.

GAMETHREAD 4/14/22: Sox vs Mariners (Lambert vs Gilbert) 1:10 pm CDT
Great. Now that he's got his fat contract he's just gonna mail it in.

We'll always have the pop-up RBI single to short.

This is one of those 60 you're gonna lose.

GAMETHREAD 4/14/22: Sox vs Mariners (Lambert vs Gilbert) 1:10 pm CDT
I'm hoping for a game-tying infield pop-up.

Nice to see the healthy side of my Pollock - Engel platoon getting on base.

Late reply, but I was going to go the Moises Alou route for suggestions here.

GAMETHREAD 4/13/22: Sox vs Mariners (Keuchel vs Ray) 6:10 pm CDT
I read this post right before Keuchel got a backwards K on a seamer / sinker down the middle.

Per Benetti, Lambert to start Thurs over Banks
Seems like it's worthy of some sort of countdown thread.... the mandatory option thread.

HOME OPENER GAMETHREAD 4/12/22: Sox vs Mariners (Velasquez vs Brash) 3:10 pm CDT
Yes it was nasty. Crazy horizontal movement. Tight and late breaking. I'm OK with him not recognizing THAT pitch. It's the rest of the at-bat that I have a problem with. Putting yourself into a position to have to defend against that pitch to begin with? Not good.

HOME OPENER GAMETHREAD 4/12/22: Sox vs Mariners (Velasquez vs Brash) 3:10 pm CDT
That last slider that Eloy swung at near (not close enough to be "at") was nasty.

Interim 5th Starter?
Some might describe that as "tradable"

Current Team Mt. Rushmore
Quintana, Sale, Eaton (2016 edition), capped off by Lynn dropping an F-Bomb.

A's interested in Andrew Vaughn/Sox in Montas
If these things don't come to fruition, at least we will have had some good conversations / reading.

Interim 5th Starter?
Not true.

AJ Pollock to go on some sort of inactive list soon, type TBD.
Can we IL platoon Pollock and Engel? It's a new concept I just invented and I'm 100,000% sure nobody has ever thought of before. Just mandate that one must stay on the IL at all times. As soon as one goes down, the other is instantly activated.

Put Burger at 2B (or Yoan at 2B and Burger at 3B)
Newbie question: Is this the appropriate time to start a "Put Burger in the rotation" thread? Sorry, but Burger's defense at 3B is average. His bat is going to be above average hopefully, but a major league roster on a team supposedly contending for a world series victory is not the place to teach a questionable defensive talent how to play a middle infield position.
