Victor Martinez
Great move for Cleveland, especially if he puts up 2004 type numbers over the next five.

Reality Bites
If she looks like she has in recent pictures on the show this show will tank quickly. The fact that its going to be on UPN makes me believe it'll be poorly produced, like most programming on that network.

"FUNdamentals" helping the Sox?
QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Apparently enough for you to comment on it not mattering.. I was just commenting because you and Mr. Civic were seeming to have some sort of disagreement on whether it was true or not.

"FUNdamentals" helping the Sox?
My main question is, does any of this Albert Belle talk even matter?

Games you're going to this month...
QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) Not going to be able to make any April games. I am making arrangements to see at least on egame in Arlington near the end of May, and then a couple of games at the Cell in June. Hopefully the Dodger series, I know there is a strong possibility in that series for a tailgate as I know Steff, myself, Jason and hopefully Mr. 2K will be at at least one game at that series. We'd love to have you join us there.

Sox on ESPN this Sunday
QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) I'd do it, but I'm hoping I can move to Texas before the summer is over. Once I get there, I'll certainly make that a priority. Wow, I guess I'll become the number 1 Sox fan in Kentucky at that point.

The thank you Illini
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) Rather than analyze the game or the things the Illini did (for better or for worse), I'm just going to say we were beaten by a superior team last night. That said, I will never forget what these guys did for me and the University of Illinois. It was the most fun ride I've ever been on and I was awfully proud to be a part of it. Oskee-Wow-Wow fellas! I wouldn't expect anything other than this type of classy post from you Addy.

Sox on ESPN this Sunday
QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) When you don't get to see games as often as most of you do, you are thankful for any opportunity to watch. All you can do is hope for the best, just like any other game. YAS, we're going to have to get you a dish and MLB extra innings. That way you'd get to see every game except the WCIU games, it's great. Definitely something you should look into, if you want to see more games.

Notes: Garcia's velocity has returned
QUOTE(Gldfinger5 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) I heard it was because they wanted Santana to start the Home Opener, but I may be wrong. The home opener is Friday, so that is not possible.

The thank you Illini
While it would have been great to win it, it doesn't diminish a great run that fans can remember forever. Teams are judged on championships, but when I look back on this year, I will definitely remember a lot of great things about Illinois, even though I am not an Illini fan. Best of luck to them in the future as coach Weber continues to build an elite program.

"FUNdamentals" helping the Sox?
I think if the balls does indeed stay in the park more often it plays to our favor due to our strong pitching and our "small ball" focus this season which we haven't had in the past. I am still not sold on this based on one game though.
-
Dye or Everett?
Definitely Carl at this point.

Do I drop Vazquez...
Don't drop him, but if you have the option to bench him then I'd let him sit until he can string together a few good games and gets his confidence back. Don't want to trade him now either because his value is very low.

Notes: Garcia's velocity has returned
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) Yep... Rotation: 1.) Buehrle 2.) Garcia 3.) Contreras 4.) El Duque 5.) Garland I think we'll match up pretty well against the Twins this weekend pitching wise. Should be: Friday: El Duque vs. Lohse Saturday: Garland vs. Mays Sunday: Buehrle vs. Radke

Sox on ESPN this Sunday
Unless the Twins skip Mays this weekend, it'll be Buehrle vs. Radke.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Is Mash ever going to even play again? He is unofficially retired as far as I know.

Games you're going to this month...
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) I probably won't see another game until May, but I am going to try to round up the parents and in-laws and take the whole clan to a game. I may have 2 extras for an April/May game from Soxfest if I don't make it up there again after this Thursday. Hopefully I will be able to make it up again, but I dunno if I will. If not, I'll send those to ya 2K.

So, how does the park look?
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) Joe Borchard could do it! I'd be shocked if Joe ever got another AB at USCF.
