  1. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Aboz, this is what the release says: Thanks, that's what I figured. Hell I knew all the Yankee broadcasts would have the local feed just like they do for EVERY game on the MLB Extra Innings package. Now if they could just switch that package to where you could get all the Sox broadcasts, I'd be totally set. I'm tired of listening to DICK and Blyleven on the Twins broadcasts. Now with XM I won't have to.
  2. Sometimes I even put mine up to 1600 x 1200, but I am usually at the 1280 setting.
  3. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) I believe it was that every team would have it's own station, I'd have to go back and check though... Gonna have my XM ready to go by March 7th then.
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) I just saw that. I wouldn't be too concerned with that. It seems it's almost a given that Hawk and DJ will be doing Sox games. Wouldn't it be weird if Chimp and Stone started doing Sox games, since they left the north side? Chimp went to the Braves, so that's out of the picture.
  5. This is somewhat off-topic, but on the XM deal, does anyone know if each team will have it's own station or will they only broadcast the home team feed for each game? I am hoping they just make a station for each team, but wasn't sure if that is how it's going to be.
  6. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) yeah cause my res is 1024x768 and it's fine. in fact santo's sig goes out farther horizontally than qwerty's... Same here.
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) qwerty's??? It may just be stretched out on his screen due to the fact that his resolution is lower than 1024 x 768, if I had to guess.
  8. It's way too early to have a draft, is what I think.
  9. He was fringe at best, right? At least that was the word I always got. Although I know you really liked his speed, Jas.
  10. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) What scares me is my cable company still hasn't picked up comcast. I swear if I miss one Sox game i'm going to be so pissed off. You may wanna look into DirecTv if they don't pick it up.
  11. QUOTE(TLAK @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) 10, count 'em 10! 7pm replays for we unfortunates with day jobs. We can actually see some of these young guys for ourselves. MLBSox.Com Link You've gotta invest in TiVo my friend, you won't regret it.
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) Mike, if for some reason there is some limit (which I doubt) I'll help pick em up for the people too. What a model citizen you are Gage.
  13. I'll probably be at some of these games, I'm planning on heading down for that last week of ST when the big boys get out on the field and rake.
  14. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) I was gonna say, I'm not sure they black out the ST games. I don't think the extra innings package counts towards this. I recall watching some Red Sox ST games last year on NESN. I wasn't for sure, since I have the package I've never had any problems viewing any of the games.
  15. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) if i live in califiornia and have direct tv... will i be able to watch this stuff? If you have the MLB extra innings package, you should be able to. If you just have the sports pack, you can get comcast, but games are blacked out. Dunno if they will block out spring training games though.

    A New Moderator

Congrats Gold, you're one of my favorite posters.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) Guys I'm going to say this once. If anyone thinks this is an issue dealing with the word gay your 100% wrong. If anyone thinks wino is involved in this your wrong. The point was there was a sig that was a 100% attack and bash on someones character and that is not tolerated. Yes, it was removed, but it was just one of a long line of attacks on that users list. This site has had umteen discussions on being gay and I don't care if you think being gay is right or wrong or are indifferent on the subject. The fact is someone bashing someone for being gay won't be tolerated, not one bit. It be like bashing someone for there religion or color. Thats it. Lets not debate the persons characters. And for anyone thinking that you get banned for knocking the mods/admins your dead wrong. How much stuff gets discussed here and sometimes people disagree with us, I've never had a problem with that. I prefer for it via PM's because its a more private discussion that doesn't create this disruption persay but everything gets listened to and talked about and things sometimes change. I'm sorry, I just don't feel the need to explain every action done out in public. Its not polite to that person thats involved in it. Have we ever made mistakes sure, but who hasn't, overall this board is ran damn well and were always open on advice on ways to improve it, but please just send a PM or an email. Well said.

    pain and death

QUOTE(Beastly @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) being the sports writer/editor at our school will give me a voice that will last with me for sometime. memories of 2 years with football will be good too. i'm just not committed to 6:30 practices all summer with no fun at night... and you know? radio is going to be sweet! i'm already getting some notices from colleges for my shows. (i dunno how, but it happens) I just don't like to hear that any young person is depressed. It happens a lot, far too much. Somethings you can control, others you cannot. There are going to be good days and bad days. The most important thing is to be able to wake up everyday with a positive attitude and just try your best to have fun.

    pain and death

QUOTE(Beastly @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) I don't think I'm going to play football next year. Too many sacrifices, I guess. There's much more to life as a teen for the last 2 years before college than high school sports. I think next year with my schedule somewhat packed and...journalism and radio (writing for the paper and broadcasting) will be very fun. Its just sometimes hard, you know? or not? Trust me man, just try to be involved as much as you can and have fun. High school and college are 2 of the best times of your life. When you get into the real world, like I did recently, you will realize how much you miss school.

    pain and death

Oh, to be young again... Who I am kidding? I'm only 22.
  21. I actually like Culpepper and Moss next week in Philly, especially with Philly's personnel problems (TO). Plus, it's been like 6 weeks since Philly has actually played a meaningful game. If they can win in Green Bay, I think they can beat the Eagles.
  22. No one on this list is coming to the Sox, at least that's MHO.
  23. I really don't understand what is so hard to understand about this. The admins and mods get together and made decisions, most always approved by Jason and that is how things are done. Who is anyone else to come on here and question the decisions that are made? If you want to use the word gay or any other bashing, start your own website and have at it. This site is so lenient about what we allow, yet when anyone is asked to do something like remove a signature for its content or not to use certain words, it's like we are asking people to walk on water. Everyone should understand that it is no one's right to post whatever they see fit on this site. You are fortunate that Jason provides this public forum in which we can all have these discussions. To constantly bash and second guess decisions that are made is unnecessary and also disrepectful to those who put the thought and time into making them.
  24. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Nope, Ahole in my book. I hate the Manning family. I hope Eli and Peyton never win a superbowl and that Peyton somehow catches a case of the "Sucks". Agree to disagree, I suppose.
  25. MY question is, if you are suspended, why are you registering other names and posting?
