  1. Just wanted to pass along this from the IRS website: http://www.irs.gov/app/freeFile/jsp/index.jsp? I think I may try doing this through the one Turbo Tax has on there. I believe the e-file, federal are free and you pay either 9.95 or 19.95 for state. A lot better than what I payed last year to use Turbo Tax just by going directly to their site. Also some other places offering deals on there. Anyone else ever try any of these, I know they were available in a similar capacity last year.
  2. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) I already attract enough attention, with my Scarlett sig.
  3. How about staying locked out permanently? That'd suite me just fine.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) Can a AA hitter flirting with the Mendoza line differentiate between average stuff and dominating stuff? Good point, he's probably going to think any pitcher can outsmart him, especially if he's hitting that poorly.
  5. My favorite call was when he repeated himself over and over at Soxfest. :rolly
  6. After venturing onto ebay looking to see if anyone was selling their "sox pride" wristbands, I was very surprised to see that people are paying up to $9 a bracelet for them. The same ones that we all just paid $2 for this past weekend. Run an ebay search of sox pride and plenty will come up. Kinda makes me sick to see people capitalizing off of something that is going to charity, but to each his own I suppose.
  7. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Bring back that game I can't think the name of right now..... Who are you is the name of it. If I could upload to the site, I would have already brought it back. Right now I am at work so maybe this weekend if I get a few free minutes I'll get to work on bringing it back.
  8. Hopefully he'll be at Charlotte at some point this year so I can go out to the park here in Louisville and finally get a chance to see this guy throw.
  9. Not better than your work with Scarlett, but nice job Goldy....
  10. Was going through old files and felt like giving this a bump for those who never got a chance to see it.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) Aboz, I saw you like a million times, basically every autograph line I was in you were there too and then I saw you during a couple of the seminars also. Anyways I wanted to say hi just really didn't know how. Hopefully they'll be some soxtalk tailgates this year where I can meet up with you guys. You don't have to know how my friend, just come up and say hi. I'm not gonna be an ass or anything, you've only gotta worry about Gage doing that. Anyhow, look forward to seeing you at a tailgate next season when I am up.
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) f*** the Packers, and f*** Jay Mariotti. Mariotti knows jack s*** about everything and anything he writes about. He knows nothing about hockey, yet writes about it today in his column. He's a f***ing moron, a stooge. It will be a glorious day when he's no longer in this damn city... //My rant of the week. Damn I bet it felt good to get that one out. Only Mariotti should deserve words as harsh as those.
  13. Note to both of you: Always say hi to a fellow Soxtalk member, I know I would have loved to say hello to both of you.
  14. Personally I am tired of all of these predictions and what not. I hope every damn publication picks against the White Sox, since we lost the mighty Magglio "I've never won a damn thing in my career" Ordonez and Carlos "I never make an error because I never take a chance" Lee. Wow, these guys really won us a lot. I'd rather have some hard nosed players like AJ, Pods and Dye who don't do any posturing or admiring their homeruns, unlike the Mighty Maggs and El Caballo. Let everyone pick against us. That way when we have a great year all of the naysayers will look like complete fools.
  15. What's the problem with the Sosa comment? Last I looked, all they really have on offense besides him is Nomar, Aramis, Lee and Patterson. Gotta figure Sosa fits in 4th or 5th now that Alou is gone.
  16. I asked Hawk about this at one of the Q&A's at Soxfest, where he seemed to think Pods was going to be in CF. Then the next day, Ozzie said Rowand, which I agree with because he has earned the job.
  17. I've only been following closely since around 1992, when I was 10 years old, so I'll give my 90's and 2000 on. 1990: Frank Thomas, Lance Johnson, Ray Durham, Robin Ventura 2000: Mark Buehrle, Joe Crede, Joe Borchard
  18. I actually like the way the site is now, as long as this one is still available for good, then I'm all for what everyone else wants in terms of adding additional skins. I'll probably stick with this one for good.
  19. Jason, thank you for the new fresh nug avatar.
  20. QUOTE(TLAK @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) Back to my point, Uribe is just as big of an if and there isn't a backup plan I can discern. I agree completely, he needs to play well the whole season, not just the first half and the meaningless games at the end. To me, he is a solid player, but I'd like to see consistent production over a full season to justify the deal we gave him.
  21. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) I'm not saying he isn't trying to get better. I just don't know if he WANTS to get better. Does he truly want it? Eh'...I've said my piece on Harris. You all know how I feel. I understand your points, Addison, you don't have to defend yourself about Willie, there IS a question on his desire and willingness to get better.
  22. QUOTE(TLAK @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Is Kelly Dransfeldt still with the team? He wasn't in the Sox ST article but they didn't list all the invites. I think he was a minor league free agent, not sure if he is still with the Sox or not. If I had to guess, he probably won't be back.
  23. I don't think the door is closed on Iguchi yet, at least based on KW's comments at Soxfest. I think if we get Iguchi, Willie will be where he is best suited, as a backup infielder who can play the outfield on occasion as well, pinch run and maybe pinch hit on occasion if the matchup is favorable.
  24. It says, Warning: stealing bandwidth is a crime. Try uploading it elsewhere rather than hotlinking.
  25. QUOTE(ISF @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) I think we can all say good bye to Burke now. Hell, that doesn't even look like a good sign for Ben Davis. Burke will be in Charlotte this year, as the 26th man for the Sox.
