Getting rid of Koch was the best thing that could have happened to this team. Anyone who thinks otherwise should re-think that decision. Plain and simple, he doesn't get the job done anymore, he is not a closer.

For all of the negative comments about Crede on this board over the past few months, this guy is starting to make a statement on the type of player I think he will be down the stretch for us this year. Check out these solid June numbers for Joe: Crede's June thus far: .320 avg, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 7 doubles, 1.004 OPS Gotta like that OPS and he's getting the average on the season up as well. Put me on the board as selecting Crede as my favorite Sox player not named Buehrle.

On tonight's broadcast on ESPN Radio 1000, Ed Farmer stated that Magglio worked out before tonight's game and is a week away from returning to the White Sox lineup. If this is the case, we'll have him back just in time for the Cubs-Sox series at US Cellular next weekend. Great news to hear.

Greasy, IU should be solid again this year. Depending on how Hardy, Vaden, Ratliff and White fit in, I could see them sneaking up on people for a B10 title. I think Bracey will have an outstanding campaign. And you'll definitely have fun at the games, I know I did when I was there. Hell, you may even run into my sister. And all of this coming from a Michigan State fan...Who woulda knew?
