QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 10, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) there is a couple different iterations of Green Lantern through the years. The guy that RR is playing(Hal Jordan) is supposed to be an incredibly self centered jerk. He actually goes bad in the comics(then I think he comes back to Green Lantern later on again). The Green Lantern chose him because he is fearless. But strangely enough, his sense of humor is very appropriate for Deadpool I was just making a joke because I hate when actors play multiple roles like that. I never read comics but I did watch batman/Spiderman/X-Men etc growing up. So to me, if someone plays a major character in one superhero film, it kind of takes away from who they play in another. At least to me it does.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 10, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) I love comic book movies, but have never read a single comic book in my life. I used to watch the X-Men, Batman, and Spider-man cartoons, though. I also hate Ryan Reynolds, but I'm not familiar with the personality of the Green Lantern. Does he fit it well? No, Deadpool should not be trying to portray the Green Lantern.

Warrior Dash on June 18th and 19th in Channahon

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 9, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) : I hope you have fun! I've been preparing myself by building up my endurance at the gym. I'm not a fast runner by any means, but I can run 4 miles on flat terrain in 1 hour without burning myself out. I've been slowly trying to build up my endurance by going a little faster each time. I think I might enter the Spartan Race in October, but it'll depend on how the Warrior Dash in June goes first. :-) A friend of mine is doing the Spartan race in NYC this summer. I've been working on my cardio recently. I've gotten into decent shape recently but have not run that much of a distance yet. I know I can but am also aware I won't be at a great pace or anything like that. Should be fun though and the party afterwards should be a blast. We're trying to get someone to come down with us to take pictures since we kinda won't be able to haha. -

QUOTE (JPN366 @ May 9, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) I'll shall b***h about it as much as I want, I paid to see it. And apparently even when they don't play he'll get brought up. Awesome!!!

QUOTE (JPN366 @ May 9, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) KW Jr. has 17 K's in 48 at bats. He's leading off for the Barons because he's that energy guy that gets the offense going. Bobby Magallanes must've thrown up after he said that.

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 7, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) Hey everyone, I just registered a few days ago for Warrior Dash for the 3:30pm wave on Sunday june 19th. It seems like a lot of fun and I can't wait. Is anyone else doing it? I think I found a new hobby. I also noticed there's other mud runs run by other organizations such as Spartan Race, Mudathlon, Tough Mudder, and Muddy Buddy. Did anyone else ever participate in any of these runs? If so, how was it? The Mudathlon looks like it's more fun than the warrior dash because they have twice as many obstacles in the same distance on the course. To me, the more obstacles on a course that's 5 miles or under, the better. I'm doing it June 11th in PA. Can't wait! -
Heyman "Count on" Danks filling for free agency

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 6, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) Apparently you have more faith in KW than I do at this point. It seems like he gets less and less out of trades. We've never really seen him make trades from this position though. He's lost some trades recently but I don't have a huge problem with him. So yes, I guess you could say I'd fairly certain he'd get market value if he were to trade Danks. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 6, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) You don't think a qualified GM is going to talk the price down, even a tiny bit, by bringing the record into it? Really? Sure they might try but I'd bet Kenny would call them out on that bulls*** argument and at the end of the day the other team's GM would relent. Sqwert's point about being a 6 inning pitcher is much more relevant though. That fact will definitely bring his value down. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 6, 2011 -> 04:10 PM) As stupid as it may seem to the majority of us, we almost definitely would receive less for Danks because of the bad record. Really? I don't agree with that. GM's realize that record is very dependent on the team around the pitcher and we've done a horrible job scoring runs for him pretty much his entire career here. He might not have a sexy record to get casual fans excited or grab media attention but I'm sure guys in front offices know how good and valuable Danks is. -
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 5, 2011 -> 01:11 PM) I was at the game on Tuesday and I swear they put on the scoreboard that Viciedo has a 10 game hitting streak and is hitting well over .300 during this stretch. If true, I think his hand was affecting him initially and now he's good to go. If it were up to me, I'd call up Viciedo in a heartbeat. The only reasons he was in AAA was there was no roster spot for him and people assumed his defense would need work. Everything I've seen has said his defense has been solid. Now that our offense is struggling immensely, we need to find a spot for him somewhere. Pierre is all but done IMO, so let Viciedo take over LF. Not only do you get more production out of LF, but you can stop giving your worst offensive player the most at-bats. Seems like a double win for me. Last 10 games (43 AB) for Dayan: .349/.341/.558/.899 2 HR, 3 2B, 11 RBI, 0 BB, 9 K

QUOTE (oldsox @ May 5, 2011 -> 10:42 AM) ....Something like This is the most talented team to ever play this badly this long? I think he's losing it; tough to be a homer 24/7 with this bunch. What's so wrong with that statement?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:29 PM) Fire Everyone from KW on down. The organization as a whole has had zero direction, zero character, and zero identity. I'd keep Cooper, i really have no problem with him at all. I'd even keep KW around. He gave us a team this year, this is not on him

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) 6 innings of 3 run ball with a bunch of terrible defense isn't really comparable to Javy's "one bad pitch" or "one bad inning" Bingo.
