QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 12:56 PM) Yea I just spend the last weekend in Brussels and Bruges, Bruges was wayyyy better so Im looking at being there and maybe a place like Gent. Yea, my friend really wants to go to Morocco to say he was in Africa, but Ive heard it just isnt that great and I was worried about the hassle too. Thanks for the heads up on the site! My sister in law has a time share in Malaga. A bunch of us are going next spring so i've done a little research into the area. Tangier is apparently a tourist hot spot for the Spanish. It's an hour ferry from that part of Spain and apparently it's pretty safe - just watch out for pick pocketers. I'd definitely at least look into it. And as I mentioned, Gibraltar can be reached from there easily if you wanted and that would be another unique experience.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) Im currently studying abroad in Rotterdam, Netherlands and one of my friends and my brother are joining me in April to travel around Europe. Im just looking for advice on the places we are planning on visiting: Lisbon Barcelona Casablanca Berlin Warsaw Vienna Brussels/Bruges Any advice on those places, like festivals, good locations, bars, food, etc. We chose these places since my friend already has been to many places and wanted to visit places he hasnt been to yet. THanks in advance! Skip Brussels. Just go to Bruges if you're dead set on visiting Belgium. I'd recommend Munich, Geneva or Zurich if you're in the area. Casablanca is going to be a pain to get to. Might be easier just going to Tangier if you want to go to Morocco. Gibraltar and Granada (the Al Hambra is there) are close by if you go that route. I'd also recommend this website

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 07:35 PM) Is Escobar supposed to pick it like Lexei? From everything I've read he's superb defensively and his glove is already ML ready. It's his hitting which will determine how much of an impact, if any, he ever makes at the major league level

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 05:45 PM) It really doesn't. But if you say so. I'll make sure to keep tabs on all Yankee minor league pitching transactions from now on so I can immediately start a thread when a signing occurs. God you've been annoying this off-season. What the hell's been up your ass?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 12:48 PM) Started watching season 1 of Spartacus: Blood and Sand Very Frank Miller-ish in the style...lots of blood and nudity. My kind of show... I liked it a lot. Season 2 just started but I no longer have Starz so i'm gonna have to try and find it online.

Seton Hall embarassed Syracuse at the Dome last night. Syracuse is very overrated. Guard play is way too inconsistent. Great to see the UConn freshmen continue to step up. Lamb/Roscoe/Shabazz combined for 46 last night against Marquette. Important because Kemba had another rough game, although he did have 9 assists and 7 rebounds. -

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) I never said his base stealing percentage was declining. Kind of meant he's getting older you can't expect many more years where he gives you so many stolen bases . I guess that means I was right on most of the other stuff I said about him and misinterpreted on the bolded. I don't disagree but we only have him for one more year. From all accounts he has an excellent work ethic and does not appear to have lost anything last year. So i wouldn't be too worried about a drop off this year. He's been pretty consistent throughout his career.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 11:28 AM) Sweet. Does he have any other stats? As i said, I was responding to a specific comment the previous poster made. Yay for reading comprehension!

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) I just feel about him the way you do. I don't hate on any Sox player. He's a good defender and came through a decent amount in RBI situations. His arm is not good. He bunts way too often for the amount of success he has at it. No power at all ,not even many doubles . Decent base stealer but he's declining. Last 5 years 2006: 162 G 58 SB 20 CS 74.3 SB% 2007: 162 G 64 SB 15 CS 81.0 SB% 2008: 119 G 40 SB 12 CS 76.9 SB% 2009: 145 G 30 SB 12 CS 71.4 SB% 2010: 160 G 68 SB 18 CS 79.1 SB% Obviously he was not quite a full time player in 2008/2009 but the bolded of what you say doesn't really appear to be true. He had the most stolen bases of his career last year and stole at one of the higher rates of his career as well.

Can't believe Notre Dame's burn offense worked last night. Thought Pitt would be too tough for that. Surprising result since Pitt never loses at home and ND never wins on the road. Either way door just opened back up for Nova, UConn and Cuse in the BEast -
I'm loving Shameless. Very entertaining show.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 21, 2011 -> 11:04 PM) Sorry, I know Teahen is a nice guy, but I couldn't help myself.... ESPY_TEAHEN By the way Chicago #WhiteSox fans, I'm All In! Are you?!?!? #Allin #Ifyourenotallinyourenotinatall Me: @ESPY_TEAHEN Funny that our biggest contractual gamble would advocate a poker term such as "all in". Seriously though, good luck next year. Way to be an ass. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 21, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) He's on Boston now, if that hasn't changed, it will by May 1. But i'm talking about as of right now. It's amazing how many of my friends are just oblivious to how good he is. They aren't really worried about what the Red Sox did there yet. -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 21, 2011 -> 10:46 AM) That's the best thing about Soxtalk. When you don't feel like doing the legwork, somebody else usually will. I never realized there were so many Brent's out there. I've never met or even known anyone with an acquaintance named Brent. Really? I never thought that was that weird or uncommon of a name. I have two friends named Brent actually.

Carlos Gonzalez? But seriously, I'd put Adrian Gonzalez there. People know he's good, but people on the east coast have no clue just how good he is. I'd toss out Aaron Hill and Kendry Morales as well -

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 20, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) What is interesting about it, I think, is that its Price (who has not really been a starter in the systems in recent years) and not Gonzalez, who was in camp last year. Yeah surprising to me too. Unless they'd rather just work with Miggy on other stuff in the minor league portion since he's still so young and so far away. -
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 20, 2011 -> 07:06 AM) Watched the first two episodes of Shameless. Good show. Agreed. Showtime has another winner IMO. Modern Family was hilarious last night also.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 20, 2011 -> 12:27 AM) Yikes, I've heard of maybe 5 of those artists. Kanye turned me off forever with a combination of Graduation, the s*** opus after that, and his unwarranted ego, so I haven't given the new one a chance yet- if ever. Eminem seemed burned out during much of Encore, and the only new song of his I've heard is terrible (I'm not afraid), probably my least favorite song of his (I'd rather listen to skits off his first cd). Didn't any of the Wu-Tang guys release anything (or Wu-Tang in general for that matter)? Always some substance on a Ghostface album... I liked the Arcade Fire cd. Only other new cd I listened to this year was Slash's solo album, which was good but not great. Having only listened to two 2011 releases I didn't feel qualified to vote. I appreciate the list though. I would have never been able to guess more than 3 on it so it's a good outline of what to keep an eye out for. Encore wasn't that good, there were maybe 3 or 4 songs I liked off it. That being said, Relapse and Recovery are both very different albums. Nothing like the style he portrayed in Encore. Relapse was fair, but Recovery was really good. And I'm Not Afraid is one of my least favorite songs from the new album. If you used to like Em and that's the reason you haven't given it a shot, I'd suggest giving it a listen. You might be surprised. And I agree about Kanye. He's a douche. But his music is still pretty great. I just have to separate Kanye the artist from Kanye the human being.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jan 19, 2011 -> 12:12 AM) Dayan has enough trouble tracking flyballs in the infield, he will not be a possibility in the outfield. I don't understand why people see that as an option. 3B, 1B or DH, that's it. Because he's only 21 and has experienced playing in the OF back in Cuba already maybe? -
