  1. all i gotta say is i do not want Weaver EVER on the White Sox. The guy has made it publicly known that he HATES both Reinsdorf AND the White Sox. Trading for a guy who feels like that towards your team would be just plain stupid. Its not that Weaver isnt good, cuz i think he could excel out of New York, its just the Sox can not trade for him. Why would anyone want someone who HATES the team? That can not be good for a clubhouse.

    Dumbass?

    no, you're right, he's a dumbass
  3. hopefully UCONN gets to play in that game. They had an impressive year, going 9-3 barely losing to NC State and walloping Wake. This is only their second year as a D1 football program and they are an independent currently. They played a kinda weak schedule but they played well, and they deserve a bowl game. This would be a good matchup
  4. really? my friend got the magazine and she was number 4, i didnt even bother looking at the online list, maybe i should go check
  5. i'm just saying, there's a reason they give out both academic scholarships and athletic scholarships. When they give out athletic scholarships, they can say what they want, but their goals are not academically motivated (for the most part at least)
  6. i'd say Mark Beurhle in the 38th or whatever round was a pretty good find, Crede, Lee, and Maggs came up through our system, as did Rowand. Also, maybe not in the past 2 years or so but in the late '90s our farm system was consitently rated amongst the best. Did Cameron come through our system too?
  7. ya but they dont recruit their athletes for the purpose of showcasing their academic qualities
  8. so much for his "i want to be a closer" attitude
  9. they'll be in the Final Four again if they can get a player or two to become a legit 3-pt threat, cuz Langford and Miles are not that. Also, with UCONN ( ), Duke, Arizona, MSU, and Syracuse all losing, and Mizzou barely winning, the top 5 will probably be something like: 1)Kansas 2)Mizzou 3)Florida 4)UCONN 5)Duke
  10. did we offer Gordon arbitrartion? Because i think you only get a pick(s) if you offered the guy arbitration. And about our scouting and farm system, are you serious? We have had one of the better farm systems for years
  11. the list had some problems, but Alyssa Milano was in the top 5 (finally!)
  12. well as far as goalies go, there are only a handful people could argue as the best. Kahn sticks out in my opinion as the best but there are some other good ones in Casillas, Seaman, Barthez also come to mind. Tim Howard, by the way, he is starting to make a name for himself too, first American goalie who could claim that (Freidel to an extent)
  13. well would you want Gload or Daubach? Seeing what Duabach did last year, how could having Gload on the becnh hurt? At least give him a shot if he has a good ST is all i'm saying
  14. the guy is proposing Honel as an option next year? Is he a Sox fan? If he is, he obviously doesnt have much common sense who are some other pitchers to come from single-A? Bonderman? Ankiel? Van Poppel? I dunno, cant think of many
  15. i like Prattm he is following in the footsteps of Benton and Doug as "the rebel" doctor. You need to have a bunch of different character types. Galant's character kind of reminds me of Carter in the first 2 years of the show
  16. becuase Meaux is awfully old to have been just promoted to AA for the first time in his career this past year
  17. ya he is pretty much done. There was that controversy whether he should be playing the World Cup as much as he did because they had an up and comer who was probably better (dont remember the name). But when i saw the name Suker i just assumed you meant Hakan Sukur, i dont really know mych about the Croat oh and on the topic of underrated from Turkey, their goalie is pretty good, as is Hasan Sas, their midfielder. He had a very solid world cup
  18. El Hadji Diouf is now a "powerful" striker? I think he is one of the best with the ball in the world right now, and he and Camara make for one hell of a pair, and Diouf knows how to finish, but look at him, he must weigh like 140 pounds, that hardly makes him a "powerful" striker in my book
  19. Ferdinand, Duff, and Kewell? Seriously? And i like Kluivert but in my opinion Bergkamp and Davids are better. I respect your opinion, but that list is somewhat suprising to see, in my opinion
  20. oh ok, cuz theres a guy i think named Hakan Suker or something like that on Turkey who is one of Turkey's most prolific scorers, thats why i thought it was him
  21. Suker? The guy from Turkey? I disagree, hes a very good player, but i dont think he can be compared with the other "premiere" players in Europe. Also, your list includes a lot of people who are way past their prime, which i get that your list isnt a current one, but thats a pretty good list too.
  22. ya Ballack was the last guy i put up there, i was really having a tough time with #10 and he came to mind. I forgot about Totti and i'm drawing a blank on Henrik Larson right now. Kluivert is a very good scorer, not good enough to put in top 10, thats why i put him in Honorable Mention. And as for Davids, he is one of the top midfielders in the world imo, he doesnt score much, but his ball control and passing made me put him, maybe a bit of a stretch. You're right about Viera, he should be there. What would your top 10 list be?
