  1. after picking up Val's 5 million dollar option, they'd better not try to pull any "we're re-building" crap
  2. im glad to see AJ gone. For one, he always seemed to play well against us. And two, i have never liked the guy. Twins didnt get much back either. I saw Bonser pitch once in AA this year, he looked good but his stuff didnt blow me away.
  3. i dont see Padgett winning Freshman of the Year. I think it will be Luol Deng or Charlie Villanueva
  4. i think its a little of both. They got some great prospects in Reyes and Heilman (who i got to see play) and Huber, Garcia, and a few others are pretty good. I'm still surprised though that Ring didnt fall somewhere around 6-8, so not in top 10 is odd, thet Mets farm system is good, but not great
  5. ya they lost to Hamilton in the Eastern Conference Finals. Hamilton was stacked last year and the Sens had to play without Spezza. But Hamilton's forwards were just too quick for our relatively slow 'D' last year.
  6. they dont play any Western Division teams, and they didnt last year either. Although they play Manitoba 4 times this year, so maybe they'll get another trip out west next year too. And im not too sure how good the Wolves are but the Sens have a very, very good team with one of the best goalies in the league along with the top 2 scorers with their top prospect (Antoine Vermette) due in Binghamton once Ottawa recovers from their injuries. So maybe they'd meet in the Clader Cup finals? Who knows
  7. well they didnt play many western conference teams last year, and only play a few this year, including Manitoba, but they still have Chicago, Milwaukee, Houston, Utah, and San Antonio to "choose from" next year. So i'd bet they play Chicago in the next two years. The way the AHL does some inter-conference games is a bit odd. The Sens play 6 teams from the North Divison from the Western Conference but none from the Western division, so maybe next year they'll play that division. But i really dont know, i'll let you know when any preliminary info comes out, but that wont be till next spring. But also, of the teams i go to more Sens games than others and am i bigger fan of them. So any info you'd be interested in about them, just ask.
  8. i'm sure most teams would be interested. Hes a good receiver not making too much. Although he's gotta have some problem if the Browns of all teams would just cut him like that
  9. haha yes, very. Unless of course they play Syracuse this year, cuz i know they dont play Binghamton and i dont think Albany.
  10. Champ: UCONN Final Four: UCONN, Duke, UNC, Kansas
  11. yes i love seeing live hockey, and the ahl is very entertaining. I go to many Binghamton Senators/Syracuse Crunch/Albany River Rats games.
  12. socom 2 is cool. The hit count is crazy though. The maps are huge. Its fun though
  13. thats because it is. It has a heart, and it is beating, what else could it be? Of course its life. How can you argue that its not? But as for the bill, i'm glad it passed. Partial-birth abortion is extremely inhumane, and i dont see any benefit for it. The baby is inches from being out anyways, does it really matter? Maybe it does, im no doctor, but its hard to believe that those extra few inches really do matter.
  14. i took macro and micro, but little "knowledge" i received in those classes remains, lol
  15. hahaha i saw that guy play in the Sox Hall of Fame guy a couple years back. He struck out i believe.
  16. ya but why spend $8 million on a guy who has had just one great year and that came in Colorado when he has had fair and sub par years prior to that. We'd be better served to use that money to sign people for positions we really need, such as a Castillo, or Miguel Batista, Cabrera, Hawkins, Ponson, Escobar, or Matsui. We dont need to spend big on a CF, Reed/Rowand/Harris/Borchard should suffice there.
  17. better option than anyone else, realistically that is.
  18. one good year, thats all. Classic example of numbers being inflated playing at Coors. I watched him in Florida for 3 years starting, and he is a good player. A star like he showed this year? No. He is a good player, but his numbers would go down significantly if he leaves Colorado. Notice his numbers in Florida. Good power numbers some years, pretty poor batting average and a couple years of bad run production. Wilson's a good player, but he is not the option. Is he worth second tier prospects? Of course, but if they wanted any of our elite prospects, then i'd say no way.
  19. yeah, before we jump all over him at least wait till Thomas himslef says something and the media just doesnt report something that a friend of a friend of Thomas' MAY have heard him say or not say and they think they are sure but you get the point. The media is quick to jump in to bed with these types of stories. Lets at least wait until Thomas says something himself before jumping all over him
  20. Dempster and Pavano could come cheap, and they could surprise
