ive followed the Marlins for years, their minor league talent is not even close to what it was three or four years ago IMO. Gonzalez was more of a contact .300/25 guy. Stokes will hit 35+. But the Marlins will be looking for some pitching prospects and corner outfield prospects. They do have Abraham Nunez who has all the potential in the world, but this was his third year in AAA with only minmal improvement

i'm a mod for a board on another site and i know where abozich was coming from. More often than not, when a thread has someone's name in the title, it ends up escalating. Even though it was an obvious joke, some people still over react. It was a "pre-emptive" lock, which sometimes are necessary. I havent been here a while so i dont know the whole "Civil War" story, but i can say that everyone should lighten up and not take such things so seriously. Everything's better that way.

this years White Sox team is one of those teams that could have scored a total of 2 runs and gotten swept in the first round, or coudl have cruised through the playoffs and won. Our team, when hot could blow out anyone. But when we got cold, we could look like a minor league team

He's good no doubt...but I don't even think he's the best young pitcher on his own team. A.J. Burnett is an absolute stud but unfortunately has been on the DL most of the year. i disagree. I've followed the Marlins since their inception into the league. Burnett is amazing, BUT, he doesnt have command and control like Beckett (as evidenced by his 9-walk, 1-HBP no hitter last year). But if Burnett can return to form, the Beckett-Burnett combo could be better than the Prior-Wodd combo very soon

i dont know if i agree with this decision. Beckett on regular rest could pitch game 7 better IMO. BUT, he pitched well in relief vs the Cubs on 3 days rest and i wouldnt want Redman out there, so.....either way i hope it works out. God i hat the Yankee$. Go Marlins!

i dont know about having Rowand playing LF full time. I'd rather keep Thomas and have Lee in left or even, have Borchard in left or sign a free agent. You gotta count on your corner infielders and outfielders to drive in runs for you. And with Rowand in LF, i dont see him becoming a consistent RBI guy. Reed and Rowand are similar players with Reed being better in most areas. I like having Reed in CF, but i think a winning team would need more production out of their corner outfielders, i dont think Rowand would give enough.
