I was born in '70, so when I actually started to truely pay attention to the politics of the world, the Curtain had begun to fall.

I know he is from the South, but no matter how the North and South are divided, they are all still Koreans. I would bet that there is still SOME compassion to each other. There is more chance of the North getting worked up over this than if he was from Japan.

I'll never understand how anybody could leave children behind on purpose. It's the main thing that has helped my sister stay grounded. A good friend of mine found her mother hanging from a closet door. Another friend found his little brother after he had shot himself in the head, and left a note blaming the step-dad. It is amazing how many people have had brushes with suicide.

Heh, ya know, I am a Horror film freak, and have a REAL black sense of humor, but I don't know as if I would have ever found writing in blood to be anything but friggin' creepy and wrong! I'm also an American. Though, maybe I should rethink my allegiance???

I'm sorry to read this. Ya know, you never know sometimes what can happen. A buddy of mine has some neighbors. A few months ago their son, in his early 30's, killed himself. He was a succes in his job, made a ton of money, and traveled the world. He had accomplished all of his dreams. He then decided he had nothing else to live for, since he had done all the things he had ever wanted to do. His note to his parents was a happy one, that just ended with a "I'm sorry, but I have done everything I care to do in life". You never know what can trigger somebody to make that horrible choice, and I hope to never have to try and figure it out myself. My sister tried when we were teens, but she came through it all O.K., and I still have her around. Again, I am sorry that you are going through this now.

Luckily I will be away all next week, and completely cut-off from all sorts of news. I will be hitting the Northwoods, and puposely avoidng the world. So if the s*** does hit the fan any worse than it has already, I hopefully will know nothing about it and will enjoy a peaceful world with my family for 7 days. Then I will return to this Godforsaken world and spend the rest of time with a little depression in my heart as I see how far humanity continues to fall. I feel sorry for this poor guy possibly moreso than I have any of the others. I am sure he thought he was completely safe over there, since he was probably convinced he was doing good, and would be viewed by others as such. Any American over there, regardless what they are doing (carrying a gun, or a bag of food for starving children) must realize that they are the "enemy" no matter what. But this guy, he had no idea at all. As bad as it sounds, I kind of hope that if this turns out bad, I hope that it angers North Korea. The last country in this world I think anybody wants pissed at them is N. Korea. I would rather anger the US than those guys! Let Kim get in on this little party, and then I have a feeling that those Terrorists will finally understand what fear is all about. They want to understand "torture"? Heh, lets get those guys over to N. Korea! Telling ya, it's time to play REAL dirty with these monkies.

I am THRILLED beyond belief that Griffey has turned it around! I always loved this guy and hated seeing him struggle the past few years! Rock on Griffey!!!

I read somewhere that Diaz can't get called up yet. It appears that Jeckle has been hanging from his nuts for so damn long that they are blistered now, and he can't pitch worth a damn at all now..

So, every single pitcher we put out there was throwing "cookies"? They scored in almost every inning, off of every pitcher. We also hit the hell out of the ball. There was just something about tonight, everybody was going to hit everything thrown by anybody. I truely don't think anybody would have survived tonight on the mound for us, and that especially includes Diaz.

Am I the only one who thinks it could have been a pitcher like Clemens on the mound tonight, and the Expos still would have lit him up? Somedays a team just has it all clicking, and tonight the Expos were going to step it up no matter who went out there.

Man, he makes Ty Cobb sound like a peach!

Earlier in the week when the Cubs made that 9th inning comeback, he went on and on about how amazing it was to watch them come from "way back to win it in the 9th". The thing was, they were down 2-1, and ended up winning 4-2! Since when is being 1 run down "way behind"??? Then today, after telling the listeners about how the A's have blown 13 saves, he goes on about how amazing it was to watch the Cubs win in this day and age of the closers!!! Does he have no idea that quality pitching, especially in the relief and closer area, is at a low right now? The guy amazes me with his complete lack of knowledge, and I am amazed that the Cubs keep him on. If they truely love Harry, shouldn't they fire that dillweed before he s***s on the family name anymore? :fthecubs

In Pirates Of The Caribbean I thought Depp was great, but have since decided that it is Geoffery Rush that keeps me going back. His Barbosa might be a standard Pirate in many ways, but he is still so damn good in that role! For nasty films, I have happily avoided Salo and Men Behind The Sun, but I do own Cannibal Holocaust, but refuse to ever watch it again.

On that, we fully agree! Actually, I think I have "Almost Human" on cassette...somewhere. I think I need to search it out now. If that is the one with the handprint on the cover, then I have it.

Isn't that G. Love And Special Sauce? I love Naked Raygun, but I don't agree with Chicago being better than NY or Orange County. No Chicago band could come close to touching 7 Seconds, The Adolescents, TSOL, Social Distortion, Agnostic Front ("Cause For Alarm" is amazing), Cro-Mags ("Age Of Quarrel" is one of the most brutal recordings ever!), and then you have the DC output of Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Scream, and many, many, many other Dischord bands. With the exception of Naked Raygun and Life Sentence, I was never fond of the local Punk scene. And I spent a TON of time in the pits in the 80's. Got my "wings" at a GBH/Cro-Mags/Lost Cause show in '85.

The troll is gone, I am sure, and he won't return. He ran in, peed on our Cheerios (but actually just hit his own foot) and ran away to sit in his bedroom and laugh about how he showed us! Good going nimrod.
