I think they are Cub fans. Plus, I beg to differ, terrible song, and an even worse band. They have aged not well at all. Was going through their 4 "classic" albums the other day. Phew, they stunk. I like "Saved By Zero" by The Fixx. Good call. Plus I think that keeping it away from his nationality should be a wise idea. Asians get enough racial abuse in this country and people get away with it all the time, so unless we play the Japanese National Anthem, I think anything dealing with him in those ways would just not be cool.

One thing to our advantage over the Cubs series is the fact that you keep hearing the Cubs talking about how these are just more games, whereas Ozzie and crew look at them like going to battle. The Cubs, and their fans, are so concerned with playing the bigger person role, and not getting into the whole Sox vs. Cubs menatlity, that it could hurt them. Dusty doesn't hate the Sox, he has no reason to. Ozzie, who was a lifetime Sox player (with a few years removed, but always a Sox), knows very, very, very well the rivalry, and battled it out on the field, and saw it first hand in the papers. I have a feeling that our hatred of the Cubs is echoed in the clubhouse on the South Side, and I think that could be very powerful. In a fight, the winner will often times be the one who wants it most. Same can be said here, I think we might want it more, for more reasons. That is our main (if not only) advantage. I am not expecting great things this weekend, or next, and I am fearing the worst, but I would not be surprised to see us come out fighting, and kicking some pretty impressive butt.

I don't think I have loved a new Sox player this much since I saw Maggs take his first few at bats a few years ago. I find it amazing that Shingo has caught on like he has! When was the last time a relief pitcher of any sort became a star player on a team, especially in this area? I am starting to see kids in Takatsu jersey's! I almost ran up to the kid I saw wearing one on Sunday. I was out in Rockford area, and there he was, Takatsu jersey, Sox T-shirt underneath, and a Sox hat, digging through the Sox clothes at a Kohls! Shingo rules!

Mariotti is still knocking him and saying that we can't rely on him because the second time around everybody will be onto him. I stand by it that it doesn't matter how many times you have faced him in the past, for you to walk into him, after having seen other pitching all night, his style and his movement will still f with your eyes. I think we have a dang solid closer who should remain there until he turns into crap. Heck, the man dominated un Japan forever, and I am pretty sure those batters saw him more than once.

Thank the Lord somebody else has noticed this!!! It's been driving me up a friggin' wall! Isn't this how all the cool Hip Hop stars wear there hats? Though, in Hip Hop it is much more slanted, as I don't think MLB would let these knuckleheads get away with it that much. But is this where that is starting. Excuse my ignorance, I am just not up on my Hip Hop stuff, but I know I have seen videos on MTV and Fuse with this look. Ahhh, read all of the posts now, and it seems that I might be right. Though, not all Hip Hop are criminals, right?

HA!!! When I turned 18, I had to exercise my rights to buy porn. So I went to the local Covenience store to buy something. I don't remember what it was now, but it was something like Hustler or a Oui, or one of those. But anyway, when I mentioned to the guy behind the counter what I want, he proceeded to go on a 5-10 minute tirade about how the stuff was evil and how I was going to go blind and all this stuff!!! Just started to tear into me in every way you could imagine! Needless to say, I never bought anything again out of fear of being lectured by a total stranger again!!! I say God bless the internet and it's free porn!

But we score almost all the runs when we don't need them. We did this last year. We beat the crap out of a team, then lose a bunch with only 1 or 2 runs. Run production and ERA's can be VERY misleading sometimes. And not back at what you said Brando, but just back to the comment about Koch being a momentum-killer. I'm sorry, maybe so. But if that is the case, and these guys still can't pull it together, especially after KW sent Koch packing, then I say fire this whole friggin' team and go with AAA (not really, but you know...)! I mean, these are major league ball players making millions of dollars, right? You can't tell me that they are still effected by what happened with Koch. Plus the GM showed the team that he felt Koch was a problem, so he booted him! He didn't send him down, he didn't send him in for arm tests ala the North Side, HE SHIPPED HIM OUT!!! If anything, that should have boosted the morale, if indeed they were having problems sleeping at night due to Koch and his nightmarish outings. Strap on the cup, get in the game, and quit playing like AA rejects.

Man, every year Hawk says "once we hit our stride, then watch out" and I am still waiting for this team to hit it's stride. Our problem is that we always fill our holes, but by doing so, we create other holes. We never seem to have a full "team" on the field. From year to year this happens. I also have to argue with people about our hitting. Yeah, we got some power on the bats, but we don't have crap for hitters, really. Almost everytime we need the tea, to come through with the hits, they never do. Yeah, we might get a guy to step it up now and then, but there is rarely a consistent hitting from the team. Yeah, I know we just had a HUGE night the other couple of nights, but that is the story, we shell the snot out of the other team when it is not needed, or we miss everything thrown or pop it up. I know I will get ripped for it, but I will put more blame on our hitters and closers than I will place on our starting pitchers. Like last year, when Buhrle got beaten in almost every outing in the beginning of the year, how many of those games did we only score 1 or 2 runs, and the other team only scored one more than us? We just need more solid hitting. Lose some of the "power" guys, and go for the guys that actually put the ball in play.

I'm thinking of seriously voting for Bill The Cat.
