  1. I drive by a business every morning that has a Cubs flag and a giant "W" on the front entrance gates. I wonder if they have been paying attention at all since the play-offs began. I bet the flags will still be there well into December.
  2. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 6, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) Lilly slamming his glove would be a great avatar for somebody. I really wish I had seen that!!! That is the one highlight I most want to see.
  3. Are people heading to the exits yet? Did anybody seriously think the Cubs were going anywhere this season? My boss asked me a few weeks ago what I thought would happen and I told him then that I thought the Cubs would get into the Post, but they were dead in the water from there.
  4. What's going on??? Gameday seems to be stuck.
  5. Way to move the runner along...
  6. Maybe Lee can start making amends.
  7. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Oct 6, 2007 -> 06:33 PM) Two questions if (when?) the Cubs lose tonight: Will Cubs fans throw garbage on the field, boo their own team and embarrass themselves in front of a national television audience? What superstition will Cubs blame this dismal showing on? The Police concert messed up the field, and the bugs.
  8. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 6, 2007 -> 06:15 PM) AssRam is clutch. The whole damn team is "clutch". Isn't the only one playing well in the post season Soto? The guy sitting on the bench.
  9. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Oct 6, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) They do the two announcers keep talking about how intimidating it is to play at Wrigley? Because the players all know that any one of them might trip in a gopher hole.
  10. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 6, 2007 -> 05:52 PM) yep he even put it in perfect position for hernandez to throw it to third Well, that was darn nice of him. He seems like such a pleasant young man.
  11. Ya know, I was hoping for the best for all of the Cub fans I do care about...but this is just too much fun. These guys are just plain bad.
  12. Soriano is pure money in the play-offs, eh?
  13. Did Hill really bunt to the left side??? Wait, he hit to Levan and he threw to third. Heh...nice execution.
  14. Watching games on Gameday kind of sucks. Now I know what it was like to watch games around 1919 like they were doing in the beginning of Eight Men Out.
  15. One of my friends brother started an Onion-like site. Stop by and see what you think: http://www.ribriot.com/
  16. Kitchen Nightmares is a fun little show. I really love it when the people on the show finally realize he isn't a jerk, he's just extremely passionate about the line of work, and a perfectionist. As soon as they start doing the job properly, he becomes a nice guy. My sattelite went out on Tuesday, so I've missed an entire week of shows. Pisses me off. Is it wrong to actually find some humor in 2 And A Half Men. I laugh from time to time, and I know I shouldn't. But, sometimes it's pretty risque, and I really get taken by surprise.
  17. QUOTE(pierard @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 04:27 PM) I just bought MLB Power Pros for the Wii, and I am absolutely loving it. It reminds me of the good ol' days of RBI, Baseball Stars, Griffey, etc. The game is actually pretty deep too (10 season franchise, create a franchise, star mode, etc.). It even has some neat RPG elements. If you are the type who loves the old 16/8bit nintendo games, I recommend checking it out. Just turn of the commentary...it's terrible. Is that different than The Bigs???

Lord how I miss the good ol' days of toad liking.

I don't think I've ever posted drunk here before. I might just get hammered off my butt tonight and see what happens.
  20. It's just a 3 part mini-series though. Not much suspense.
  21. I pretty much think everybody is perfect in their roles. But yes, Baldwin is pretty great in the role, and I normally don't like him at all.

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 05:02 PM) Sweeney Todd trailer arrives!!!! Oh man this looks so sweet! Johnny Depp+Tim Burton+blood=AWESOME! Btw, those of you who don't know...this is a musical. A brilliant one, at that. I still think it's pretty cool that they got Dave Vanian to play Johnny Depp.
  23. Watched 30 Rock last night. I had only seen a clip here and there. That was a pretty darn-tooting funny show!
  24. I'm not familiar with their commercials, and I think I am very thankful for that.
  25. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) No kidding. Do Cub fans actually enjoy listening to him? He is unbearable. The ones I know love him. They know he is a raging idiot, but it is his obsenely obnoxious blind love that they love about him. I do think that is the one thing all Cub fans share though, a massive love for the people who are over-the-top in love with their club. How else can you explain Santo and Ronnie Woo Woo?
