    Pulp

That's kind of the thing also, I know that if I went to Tropicana Industries I would walk into the place with the giant vats of juice, and it would all be nice and smooth juicey stuff. Then I would look over, and there would be that guy making less than minimum wage standing next to the vat with a bucket scooping out the dehydrated pulp and dumping it into the big vats and making it become rehydrated. It's all a scam one way or another. It just depends, do I wish to think that they are lazy and not taking out pulp? Or would I rather think there is some nasty underworld Pulp Harvesting organization? All of the pulp in our drinks could be the pulp saved for years upon years of marmelade production. The orange juice industry is a damn scary business when you really think about it.

    Pulp

If I know for a fact that we are talking FRESH SQUEEZED, and there is a person standing in the kitchen making less than minimum wage squeezing the oranges for me, then I am cool with the pulp. But if I buy it from a store shelf and there is pulp in there, then that tells me that the juice company is lazy and decided to NOT finish their job. They can get all the pesticides and other microscopic crap out of there, but they can't get the massive lumps of orange carcass out? Come on people, finish your damn job!

I'm lucky I guess, my wife LOVES Vertigo, and pretty much all things Hitch.
  4. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 26, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) Just call in a bomb threat that morning. I gotta go with this one.
  5. Is it Peter Jackson's Kong or is it the '33 version? If it's the '33 version, go with that!
  6. That is pretty dang impressive! Heck, just the fact that Gabriel and Genesis endorse them says a whole bunch!
  7. QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 26, 2007 -> 11:29 AM) There are so many reasons why people should, I'm never sure which reason each person gravitates to. Well, it's that and your ass. But really, you could throw your kid a blue shirt even if he/she is a Sox fan. That way the kid won't stick out like a sore thumb if he/she really doesn't wish to wear a Cubs shirt.
  8. QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 26, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) Let him decide. If he wants to fit in and have a day out of the school uniform, get a cheap Cub t-shirt and remember that it's not war or religion, it's a game. If he doesn't want to wear a Cub shirt, send him to school in his regular school clothes and, if questioned, have him tell them he's a Sox fan and that he doesn't want to wear Cub stuff. I personally think sending him in Sox stuff would be a jerk move. This is why I love you.
  9. I still all comes down to personal preference though, doesn't it?
  10. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 25, 2007 -> 01:56 AM) Hey Kid, Did you know that The Musical Box has two Vic dates in early December? Dang, I would love to see one of those shows. These guys are crazy dedicated to authenticity. I did not know that. I still have yet to even hear them. I have a terrible phobia of tribute acts. But you would recommend them?
  11. QUOTE(juddling @ Sep 25, 2007 -> 03:21 PM) Hot swedish woman Impressive though in how she keeps her composure before and once getting back on camera.
  12. I didn't read the article, but I did look at the pictures provided. Find that kind of honesty about Playboy subscribers. But anyways, from what I could tell from the picture provided, the "not perfect boob" means "don't stand with your arms away from your sides". Whereas the "perfect boob" means "stand in a way so that you are pressing them together". Is that right? I mean, that's really the big difference in those two pictures.
  13. All of the Halloween candy has hit the shelves. I got really excited when I saw that Dots has a limited Ghost Dots. The box shows clear dots with faces. I had to buy them. Sadly, upon opening, I realized I was tricked. The Dots are a clearish green tint, but there are no faces. I was rather upset by this revelation. I'm thinking of suing over false advertising. They hype up a mystery with every candy, since there are no colors to tell you if you are getting cherry, lime, orange, or whatever the final flavor is. The disappointment with each bite is almost too much for me to handle. I reach for my box of Dots, pull one out, get sad about there being no face, throw it into my mouth and "dang...I didn't want orange...I wanted cherry". This is too much for me to take. You have been warned.
  14. Everybody who has anything to do with The Bachelor needs a REAL good ass-kicking.
  15. Since we're talking about them: Gabriel was mesmerizing back in those days. Just unreal. One of the things I love about the early stuff was how they would move from incredibly beautiful stuff to the most volient sounds in a matter of seconds, and it always seemed effortless. Nobody was as powerful sounding, IMO, nor as violent sounding. Just so dang intense.
  16. Ya ever read my other work related posts? Trust me, I would love nothing more than to quit!
  17. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 24, 2007 -> 01:45 PM) If you give him some of the lyrics I bet Kid Gleason knows it. Yur lucky you used green!!! In all honesty, I'm terrible with lyrics.
  18. My problem with posting video seems to have something to do with my browser here at work, as if I try from my home computer I am fine. But from here, it doesn't work. Any ideas?
  19. Does anybody else feel the same as I do in that a Cubs victory, any of them, won't effect my life day to day and in all reality would make me a little happy being able to see certain people (father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, uncle, bosses, neighbor who is a very close friend, best friend/godfather to my daughter) as happy as I was in 2005? I also have to stop and think that in a VERY short time we might be seeing a Red Sox, White Sox, and Cubs Series win, something many, many, many people never got to see. From a baseball fans perspective, that's pretty damn cool.
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 23, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) I was sick! So you watch Dirty Jobs??? That would be the last show I would want to watch while sick. Though the Cob house was kind of neat, especially once built.
  21. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 23, 2007 -> 08:56 PM) I agree, mostly, though I don't find Trick of the Tail or Wind and Wuthering to be as musically ecclectic as the Gabriel stuff. No, not at all. But there is no doubt that it was the Gabriel and Hackett existense that made that band what it was. They lost a lot of the cool side with the Gabriel departure, but then it all vanished with Hackett. I just think most people discredit the post-Gabriel days, when in reality the two post-Gabriel albums are still quality releases.

  23. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 23, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) I figured there had to be a Hollywood horror make-up connection in there somewhere. You don't exactly strike me as a big Phil Collins guy. Actually, I count Genesis, up until Hackett left, as one of the greatest bands to ever exist. By far one of my favorite bands of all time. Phil is also one of the greatest drummers ever, who has sadly wandered far from his path.
  24. Case in point: I was up until about 2 last night watching Dirty Jobs. "F*ck you" back at ya Heads.
