QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 10:24 PM) It's funny. Some rich baseball players retire and just live off their current millions and future pension. Others decide to coach and/or broadcast. I wonder what makes some ballplayers just golf the rest of their lives and live off the cashola. And what makes others keep working. Does it have to do with ego? Laziness? Desire to acquire even more money? Might be as simple as they love the game and just wish to be around it still.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 11:00 AM) Over-run with pictures, drawings, school notices, calendars and magnets. Basically it's a notepad/photo album/whiteboard which also happens to keep food cold. Same here.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 11:43 AM) Haha! We got a guy here at work to download some. I'll let you know the effects. He didn't show up to work today. We're pretty sure he O.D.'ed.

According to my Cub fan friends, he was forgiven a LONG time ago. According to them, only psycho Cub fans, the media, and Sox fas who enjoy flogging dead things still mention or even think about Bartman.

Let's see...some great shows on TV tonight, post-season baseball, perfectly clear evening...and my satellite goes out. Yeah...seems about right. F**K YOU TECHNOLOGY!!!

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 04:33 PM) Letterman is the man. That was hysterical!

Yeah, I leave around 5:15AM and get home usually around 5:30PM.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 09:07 AM) Weeny. I've been working 10.5 hour days for 10.5 years, I think. Damn straight. I have no problem admitting I am an 8 hour guy. Hell, I would be a no hour guy if I could be.

Weird, that's for sure. I'm tempted to give it a whirl though...

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 08:48 AM) Thats because there is no way it can be funny. They were even pimping the show on Dancing with the Stars, and it wasnt funny then either. And the creators of the show tried to say it wasnt about racism as well. right But that is how it COULD be funny. If somebody with talent for on board and actually attacked racism in a smart way. But from what I heard is that it is all obvious type of stuff. Maybe if it wasn't from the Cavemen viewpoint, but rather an All In The Family view, with the racist being the main focal point trying to live next to these Cavemen and dealing with their ways. The main problem, IMO, is that the jokes will all be stale by the end of the first half of the show, and from there you have nothing but an ugly make-up to stare at.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 02:43 AM) Dave Grohl is one of those few guys who exudes rock n roll. See, I never saw that at all out of Grohl. Though I am not a fan of his band (or his period with Nirvana), I always liked him though. He is the main reason I keep giving Foo chances, just because he seems like one of the few genuine guys in mainstream music. But I never thought "Rock and Roll" at all when I thought of Grohl.

My wife and I agree with the "meh" sentiments on this thread. At about the 20 minute mark you just realized this wasn't going to be one of THOSE episodes. Earl was better than The Office that night. I'm actually hoping Russell from Six Feet Under is on it more often.

I've been trying to come up with something funny...but after a Christopher Cross reply, it's useless. Go for some good ol' California Punk. Ya know, Circle Jerks, Adolescents, TSOL, Social D., Vandals.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) The French have fattier diets, smoke, and don't excersie, yet they live longer than us. Red wine is the only explanation. I think it's the berets. They hide little aliens under them that keep pumping xclorian256v into their brains. It's sort of an alien "fountain of youth" found in the Zyraxivon Quadrant of Extoliat 12.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) The host of L.A. Ink. She's a tattoo artist. She'd be hotter if somebody hadn't written all over her. Seriously...is that Sharpie??? That would suck.

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 11:58 AM) I watched the season premiere of "My Name Is Earl", the first episode I have ever watched. What crime did he admit to for Joy that got him sent to jail? He took the blame for the kidnapping. I really thought Dirty Sexy Money was dang good.

I've been doing 10.5 hour days at work for about a month now. I'm wrecked.

Those are really nice displays.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 05:33 PM) Any thoughts on the new Foo Fighters album? I listened to about 1/2 of it and thought it was O.K., and I am not a fan of thiers at all. But I was kind of liking some of it. I might finish listening to it soon.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:31 AM) So my intramural flag football team has had 2 guys quit because they don't get the ball enough. What a bunch of babies. But is it more like "Keep Away" with those guys? Maybe they can tell that they don't get the ball because everybody puposely throws away from them? Or are they just wusses?

My doctor told me to shoot some heroin everyday. I'm thinking he's a quack.

Ooo, thanks for reminding me...I was going to have a drink tonight! But now it's too late. sigh.

LOL!!! My wife is watching The Bachelor right now. Would you believe that the bachelor guy actually asked the question to all of the idiots "what is the craziest thing any of you have ever done" and NONE of them answered "appeared on a reality TV show to expose how pathetic I am to the rest of the world"???
