QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 12:17 AM) Little kids dragged around on leashes in public. So dehumanizing. I bet when those kids grow up they can't wait to chuck mom and dad into the old folks' home at the earliest opportunity as payback. Huh, odd, both of my kids wore those and they both love the heck out of me. I can only hope your kids choose to do something evil to you in the future also just for caring about their own safety. I'll kill this post here, because your post pissed me off enough to want to write for days. Sorry I care about my childs safety.

Don Shula needs to go to hell.

But from what I read the tape with the cheating was stopped before anybody had a chance to look at what was taped, therefore the Patriots never got their "edge". They cheated, but without being able to use the cheat. So I would think that would mean their efforts are still there. -
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 03:32 PM) Obviously its more impressive that one guy can play that fast... and he gets his due credit for being fastest in world possibly. But also keep in mind this is a video game thread lol not a music thread... not 2 mention dragonforce are a s***ty band and while he plays fast atleast the songs they have all suck. All points well made. Guitar Hero just makes me scratch my head. But well spoken.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 04:58 PM) Maybe this one should go in the video game thread. . . Harmonica Hero Add to My Profile | More Videos Heh, heh. Next up they need to make one for the Triangle.

O.K., somebody please explain this to me. That Dragonforce video is making the rounds, and people are reacting with amazement. Does anybody out there realize that an ACTUAL PERSON RECORDED THE ORIGINAL SONG??? This is like the next step-up from being amazed by somebodies air-guitar routine. I'm more impressed by the people that can actually PLAY this song. But for some reason people are amazed by 6 guys sitting around pushing buttons on a little plastic guitar. Why?

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 11:09 PM) Have you seen this movie? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_American_Crime No, I haven't. Oddly though it sounds almost identical to TGND. Dark Horizons rips that one to shreads. The thing about TGND though is that though it's material is terrible stuff, there is something about the book that works so well. This is why I didn't think a film could be made. Jack Ketchum achieved something amazing with that book, he gave it such a strong heart. It didn't read as an exploitation, but more as a warning to everybody that this crap does go on, and can be happening anywhere. I'm like Steff, I cried through that whole book, but I never wanted to put it down, and I never felt "wrong" for reading it. I've read A LOT of Horror fiction, and I finally got tired of the Splatterpunks (oddly a genre that Jack Ketchum is largely responsible for), but this book was different. There is nothing else like it.

The Girl Next Door I will lay my life on it that if this was done right (and from all I have heard it was), then this is going to be one of the most powerful movies made in YEARS. If you have ever read the book by Jack Ketchum, you know why. I still think that every person alove should be forced to read the book, and those that are not horrified by it need to be locked up instantly. It's the most powerful book written, especially for fiction, on child abuse. If you happen to see it, be forwarned, there is NOTHING CLOSE TO A HAPPY ENDING HERE. An amazing book, and from what I am hearing, the movie does justice. http://www.thegirlnextdoorfilm.com/

I made some chili recently (using a box mix, Cugino's, which is REALLY great for a box mix) and left the beans out. It was one of the first times I skipped the beans, and it was amazing. I'll probably never do beans again. I made a chilli last year that was an "old style" chili. The recipe was 2 pages long and took all damn day to make. Everybody who had it was knocked out by it, but I'm not so sure it was worth the time, mess, and money involved. I'd post the recipe...but I can't find it now.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) NICE! I am SO challenging you to hoops next time we meet up! My wife has a hoop at her parents house. She and her sisters always beat me in "Horse". I have no problems admitting it, as I hate basketball. But yeah, watching me try to score in that game is pretty funny. -

I can't even score with just a ball, a hoop, and myself standing there, so I am pretty sure if you stuck anybody in front of me (especially a bunch of REAL tall guys) there is NO WAY I am scoring. Then add into it that most of my friends are just as skilled as I am at basketball, and I am still thinking of chanllenging them all to a game of tic-tac-toe. -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 12:31 PM) It use to be a change in the weather, down here, it's the turning of a calendar page. Fixed up my first pot of chili for the season. The chillies are not as hot as they will be a little later in the year and I did not have time to get out and gather any of the little suckers that grow wild down here, but a respectable pot was produced. Recipe???

QUOTE(Felix @ Nov 4, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) I haven't seen the new episode yet, but I was told it was bad. You heard wrong. That was a VERY funny episode I agree with those that say best of the season so far.

I just found what I want for Christmas!!! The collected works of Don Martin from his years at MAD!!!

Omega Man is quite a distance from the original story. They did make a movie based on Where's Waldo. Isn't that where Ransom came from?

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Nov 3, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) I cant tell by the previews, is "I am legend" supposed to be like 28 Days later or what? It looks interesting. I Am Legend is based on the 1954 novella written by Richard Matheson. There have been two movies based on it to date, The Last Man On Earth starring Vincent Price and also The Omega Man starring Charlton Heston. The book is amazing and considered by many to being the greatest Vampire story ever told. The problem is that most of the movies miss many of the things that made the story so great. But this is still looking like a decent version.

QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 2, 2007 -> 02:14 AM) Mary Jane Peanut Butter Kisses Like chocolate-less Reeses for the homeless. Those things are like Candy Corn and Peeps to me. Any other time out of the year and I have no interest in them, but around those right times of year, you just have to have some.

QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 03:42 PM) TWIX...the candy with the cookie crunch Ya know right there you see the ugly side of the snack food industry. The damn cookie industry spends years and years to perfect a cookie that stays moist, like you make at home and what does the candy bar industry do? They throw it back in their faces by making a candy bar with a "cookie crunch"! Where is the "candy bar with the overly chemical tasting musshy cookie inside"??? Oh sure, they then throw it back at the cookie industry by making the chocolate covered cookie dough candy. Bald on Bald crime is nothing compared to the snack food industry bloodbath kids.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 10:14 AM) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4...h&plindex=0 first time i saw this i died when larry says "well there was the trick threat" "trick or treat bang bang!" It's very true though. We don't consider self-shaving baldsters to being a part of our society. If you have chosen to be bald, you don't get a membership, you get blacklisted. If the day ever does arise when you lose your hair naturally, you will not be allowed in.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 08:45 AM) i do have to add, I think I am one of the few people that really likes Bit O Honey too. And you dont see that type of candy much outside of Halloween I like Bit O Honey a whole bunch, but contrary to what you just wrote, I never see it on Halloween anymore.

I love Candy Corn, but have to agree that it gets old after awhile. Bottle Caps are a BIG fave of mine. Almost anything gummie I am a fan of. Basically fruit flavor stuff. Reeses and Kit Kats for the chocolate stuff.

I agree with Mr. Eye. I was looking for the "never" also. The "does not apply" didn't apply to my answer.

QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) Watch "Omega Man" minus zombies, add vampires. Read the novella. Vampires are correct. Watch Last man On Earth. Incredible story, still waiting for the proper treatment.

QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 12:43 PM) A little off topic, but me and the gf went as halpert/beesly for halloween........I think we pulled it off. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/4759/n1...02262487ia6.jpg That's almost creepy. She's a dead-ringer, and you are good enough for a great likeness.
