Is this the worst year in your Soxfandom?
Kid Gleason replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't even really watch the games any more. I have the TV on, sometimes, to see the score, and that's about it. If I'm not getting frustrated, I'm bored off my butt. -

QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 11:33 AM) 1988-89 sucked a lot worse. The Sox were awful and had no talent. At least this team has some talent. But that's what makes this so much more painful. These guys should be better than this. -
Everything is kind of "bright" and there is some yellow thing in the sky! Anybody have any idea what the heck that's all about???

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Bazooka Joe.....damn I haven't had that stuff in years. They've changed it. The comic is now on the wrapper itself, the gum is no longer a block (it's longer and thinner), and it now seems to be made of some sort of wax instead of the good ol' rock it used to be made of. Oh, and they changed Bazooka Joe and his gang to look more "hip". As for dog fighting, since grey hound racing is struggling to survive due to how many people are claiming it inhumane, I don't know what makes these idiots think that dog fighting will be looked at with any higher respect. -
How does he figure baseball isn't a "team" sport? How does he figure basketball is more of one? If I am not mistaken, Michael Jordan more or less carried his teams to the championship. He was aided by the other guys, but he probably could have won with my Grandma on that team. But we all know how much ONE great player will ensure a championship in baseball. He started out though like he was copying something Andy Rooney once wrote. But then he just turned to sucking.

I need new shoes. I had thought about buying some of those Starbury shoes due to my liking the concept of them, and them being in a great price range. Welp, now it looks like I'll be going back to Wal-Mart and buying something a little more expensive but not endorsed by a moron. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 01:08 PM) He only knows how to play one character it seems. Napoleon Dynamite, School for Scoundrels, Benchwarmers and Blades of Glory . . . all the same character. And it's not a particularly funny or compelling character at that. To be fair, I was expecting it to be MUCH worse. I mean, I did watch the whole thing after all. I was expecting to have to shut it off after 5 minutes.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 12:58 PM) Something in a good way? Um, no...far from it. How the hell does that Heder guy have a career???

Sadly the most vocal people (or the people the media wishes to grace with the spotlight) are the people who support his theory. -
So are you feeling better?

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 10:41 AM) Our tomato plants are threatening to engulf our house and kill us all. I've had a million wonderful home-grown tomatoes this summer, and there are still some green ones on the vines. But our summer squash and green pepper plants still suck ass. Go figure. Our tomatoes are just barely getting by for some reason. My cucumber pickles did O.K., but that is about it.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 10:39 AM) I've bolded the things I have never gone through once. So yeah, for me it's quicker than the time all the stuff you listed would take. And ultimately I don't REALLY care about the person behind me anyway, so even if it took that long, so what? Huh, why green that???

Did I mention I watched Benchwarmers the other night? Wow...that was something.

I have a creek running through my back yard and on rain days the dang things swells to about 4' above normal and is rushing like a dang white water rapid. It's actually kind of scary looking. I also, every night, have a yard full of frogs tormenting my dog.

Huh, I forgot all about Rex and his Bea love. Is that still going on or has he found a new ugly old woman to love?

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) I like the rain. Normally I LOVE the rain, but lately I've been dodging a HUGE bullet. Not saying anything about it though. Knock on wood. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) Ah, buy a windbreaker and deal with it (HA!) That should probably be "rainslicker", but I'll let it slide just for the nice cross-thread reference.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 07:53 PM) I won't argue with it being rainy up here... Its the 100+ mph sustained winds that I am glad to be without. Bah! By a windbreaker and quit your whining.

I think Levy is like a Walken where he will work wherever he can. Walken has said that if he has the time, he will never turn down a script. He says he can always work on his trade. This could be why Levy will show up in the most unlikely places.

We have our own mini-hurricane going on right now. They said on the news that in the past week we've had enough rain to get our total up to November. My yard is a giant sponge, and it spells like a friggin' swamp everywhere I go. As I type this I amj staring into another massive storm rolling in.

I'm soooo sick of this crap. I know, I know, I could be staring into Dean, but I'm not. But this constant rain is driving me up a wall.

I've had Vista on my laptop for quite some time now. It sucks.
