    The Office

QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 09:19 AM) I don't see why Pam would date Ryan since he and Kelly are still together but that's just me If a rivalry starts between Ryan and Jim, as was slightly hinted at in the episode the other day, Pam would start dating Ryan to make Jim jealous. Kelly and Ryan are an item in Kelly's wacky mind only, so Ryan has no real wish to stay with her, and seems to be looking for an escape. Crap...I may as well just start watching Soap Operas.

I loved Kelly bringing Jim up to speed on "her life". I love the possibilities of the cantankerous Stanley for the future epidoes. He's easily one of my faves. I also am expecting to see some great Ryan/Jim battles. I bet Pam starts dating Ryan. Great news about Gervais!!!

Winning bidder has "0" feedback. Somebody was forcing the price up.
  4. I hate to be a stick in the mud...or eye...but I agree about the work aspect.
  5. Why is there a DJ? Do a lot of comics just decide to bust out a Rap often?
  6. Is this from The Onion??? I think I need to go check Snopes.

The less human interaction I have in my day to day life, the happier I am. I love DD and especially "pay at the pump".
  10. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) I don't disagree, but why has he been unable to come up with great tunes for 20+ years? Same thing with the Rolling Stones. How is it that these guys with all this talent aren't able to evolve and keep making relevant music? I love the stuff Wings did for the most part. Have any of the solo Paul albums actually been considered "junk"? None of it might stand up to The Beatles, but really, can anybody expect them to? The Beatles are a great band, but part of what made them so great was the absence of bands to put them up against. Today Paul is facing up against all the people that learned from what he did. If there was still the void in music as there was at the time, then his stuff would be viewed differently. Look at how many bands existed then, as opposed to now. It's harder to stand out now, even if you are Paul. As for The Stones, they just turned lazy. Plus, I question who was the real talent in that band. IMO Ron Wood is easily the best one in there, but I have a feeling they still limit him. It's all about Keith and Mick, and neither one of them are all that good. Let Ron write an entire album and you will have something to talk about. Heck...I have an idea...let's pair Ron with Rod again and see what happens...
  11. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 06:48 AM) I didn't. What did you buy? I love my 60GB iPOD. The worst issue I had with it was it froze up on me. I had to drain the battery (something I have never done before or since) and it works fine. All of it's "glitches" were cleared up on the recent update. Now it works like a charm and I have no issues at all. I can't compare it against any others, as I haven't tried anything else really. I can't comment on the price, as my wife bought it for me for my birthday, but I know she got it for a good price at the time (went the route of eBay). I think it's funny that Apple, the computers, are loved by soooo many and considered the "good guys" and that Microsoft is considered the "bad guys". But when it comes to the iPOD, Apple is considered "evil" by so many. Weird.
  12. Paul. The guy can play almost any instrument and has the strongest voice of them all. Anytime you hear GOOD drumming on a Beatles song ("Rain" being an example), it's Paul.
  13. 8/10 I wouldn't have gone had I seen it was Autodesk. ***sigh***
  14. I find it odd that the recent batch of the female teachers have all been attractive. I think that is the seperating point. The male teachers usually look creepy in some way.
  15. I was driving to Texas once, late at night, a little rain coming down, had no idea where I was, and I was listening to First And Last And Always by The Sisters Of Mercy. Easily the most surreal driving experience I have ever had. I still remember it all quite vividly. If I am pissed, "The Eliminator" by is quite the great song. So is "Race Against Time" by GBH. All of The Riverboat Gamblers brilliant Something To Crow About, as it makes time fly by and is a ton of fun.
  16. Thanks for posting this!!! Now I know what time to avoid the hell out of FOX!!!

QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 08:22 AM) I miss my atari 2600. They brought it back, ya know? I just saw an add for it the other day, and it looks like it's the real thing...cartridges and all. I may have been wacky though. I know they have the version that has the games built into it (console and all), but I am pretty sure there is one with the cartirdges.

I'm still waiting for my Intellivision to go out of date. Once that happens, then I will consider one of these new fangled machines.
  19. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) What exactly is it about Eva that makes people think she's hot? Hands down the most overrated, slightly above average looking woman ever. I will not be seeing this film. You get a bunch of these (since we're doing a "smiley" thing here):
  20. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 13, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) The part of the article which I disliked most was in reference to "So where's the joke"? That's the kind of shortsightedness that probably happened when people stopped telling knock knock jokes and moved on to puns... Life is funny. Exaggerations are funny. Stories are funny. Sounds are funny. AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS is funny. Lighten up and laugh...especially Rolling Stone Magazine=the saddest bastards in the world, followed by Pitchforkmedia. Nice. This might be blasphemy, but if people are going to attack Cook for not telling jokes, then we all better turn on David Cross. Not only him, but Eddie Izzard too. Neither one of those guys have "jokes", in fact they are more social commentary. Heck, probably the most respected comedian of the past 30 years, Bill Hicks, rarely told "jokes". That being said, that Alien bit was not funny. He seems to be in an Adam Sandler style, and that being that if these guys can be high paid comedians, than anybody can be.
  21. I'm still not overly familiar with him. A friend of mine LOVES him, thinks he is the funniest thing around. I have chuckled at the little bits I have seen, but nothing has made me search him out. Hell, my friend even gave my two of his albums to check out, and I ended up deleting them before I even listened.
  22. I rarely get sick. I have about 2 weeks of sick time, but might call in 1 or 2 days out of the year. The sick days accumulate. Since I am rarely sick, and use my vacation time once in the summer and then again over the Christmas holidays, and am into work early almost every day (without charging), my boss has a good idea that there might be a day or two through out the year where I will just call in sick. We don't get "personal" days, so I will use a sick day here or there to ditch out and spend the day doing something fun with the kids. Sometimes you need to get away from work to make you want to show up at work. I don't get a bonus...ever...and the raises are minimal. The "perks" are almost non-existant here, and if the company can't accept the fact that my being "sick" two days out of the year will keep me walking through the doors, then they can kiss my butt. Luckily my boss in the office here does understand, as he is VERY family orientated. But as for calling in sick and how to do it? You call in, say "I'm not coming in, I'm sick" and that is it. They can't ask questions. Well, they can but you have no obligation to tell them. But don't be a bonehead and make a voice up, just tell 'em. Aside from a cold, how often are you sick in a way that you can't sound like yourself for 1 minute.
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 10, 2006 -> 07:08 PM) Why the hitting guy? It's a legit question.
