Autumn Dreamin

This was win #28 for the season. The 2024 White Sox didn't get their 28th win until August 6th against the A's. This was the 8th series win of the season. The 2024 White Sox won 9 (?) series all year and 3 of those were in September. Also: The White Sox scored as many runs in the getaway game as the Giants did all series (5). They also held the Giants without a HR for the series.

The DSL Sox threw a (7 inning) no hitter and won 5-1. They did have 8 BBs and a HBP though, the latter of which came around to score.

In a road series too! Knights as a team hit basically twice as many HR at home as on the road, so XBH production on the road feels especially meaningful.

There was a balk called in every game this series, right? How often does that happen?

1-11 with 8K in the series. Guess they have a good game plan against him.

Pretty sure they will promote him as soon as he can piece together ~2-3 weeks of above average offensive production.

Kurtz also has pretty strong home/away splits. I kind of wonder if playing half your games in a minor league park does anything to help the adjustment (beyond the physical difference).

Man, Luis Reyes has really figured something out. Another gem today, 6IP, 0ER, 3H, 1BB, 6K. Up to 25IP across 4 June starts, just one ER between them on a solo shot.

Colson 111mph RBI triple, off a LHP

Cags 0-4 with 3Ks today. Slashing .171/.218/.280 through 82 AB with 2HR (both in the same game), 4BB, and 20K. It's a huge jump for almost everyone, even top prospects.

2K first for Smith, velo seems fine at 96-98.

I see the vision now, MAT missed scoring on purpose to help out the Sox record in 1 run games.

Wild for one player to miss out on scoring twice in the same inning by a combined like 3 inches.

Bad call on the first pitch outside cost Vargas a walk there.

It was two HBP a couple games apart. One was hand/wrist, and the other was right to the kneecap.
