Barons win Game 2 of the DH 4-3. Braden at DH went 1-3 with a walk, August slash at .358/.456/.552 Antonacci 1-2 with a double, a walk, and 3 (!) stolen bases. Could be joining Braden in the .900 OPS club soon, he's at .895. Murphy went 5 IP with 1 unearned run.

3 straight very winnable losses. Let's try to not give them free outs AND free runs tomorrow.

Gotta give Luis a shot with the sacks packed there.

Davitt went 6 IP, 1 ER (a solo shot), 2H, 2BB, 9K. Impressive outing from him. Lee got randomly pulled mid-inning while catching (no apparent injury), and I thought maybe it was for a call up to try carrying 3 catchers. But then Sabol (playing 1B) got pulled the next inning so I don't know what to make of it. Hopefully not an injury to Quero/Teel.

Aldrin Batista sighting in WS! He's been out since an injury in his first start of the season. It's a shame, he seemed primed for a big year.

An IL stint lets you bypass the restrictions on how long guys have to be down at AAA before you can call them back up after an option. I'm not saying it's 100% a phantom injury...but if they wanted to call up Gonzalez over someone else, that's the way to do it.

Don't have exact numbers with no Statcast, just feel like I remember seeing more FBs at ~93 last time out and more 95+ today.

Braden's doubles streak ends at 7 games, but he still increased his OPS by going 1-2 with 2 walks. Coffey was great out of the pen with 2 perfect innings and 5Ks.

Not sure if it changes anything, but interesting that MAT wasn't in late for defense. Probably need to shuffle in a fresh arm or two for tomorrow with Perez still limited. Knights game got postponed so everyone is rested, but I don't think Wikelman or Booser have been down long enough since their last call ups? Maybe we see Iriarte, unless there's a phantom IL for someone.

First pitch bunting with your hottest hitter with the bases loaded and no outs is certainly a choice
