  1. If one Montgomery is the kid who only hits homers and the other is the kid who only hits doubles, I think we can work with that
  2. Sosa's single was the first hit surrendered by Schreiber since August 5, 20+ batters ago.
  3. Baiting a walk by distracting them with a bunt attempt?
  4. For anyone wondering...Perez has said he would like to stay. Sounds like Katz would like him to stay too: "I think any team would like to have Martín. There's so many great qualities to him, just as a person and the ability of what he's able to do on the mound. So I would love to be able to say I could spend more time around him. Not my decision, but he's been awesome to have here. I think the younger players have really appreciated him. Not only that, but he's really great with our Latin players too. A lot of the young guys, he really kind of takes them under his wing, being able to talk to them, communicate with them a little bit more, it's great to see. So he takes a lot of pride in that." It's a mutual option for $10 million, or I guess they could negotiate something else.
  5. Teams in the Bridge League: White Sox, Reds, Guardians, Dodgers, Rangers, Brewers, Mariners, Padres, Royals
  6. Bonemer adds a "triple" on a ball the CF lost in the sky. He did get charged with an error in the previous half inning on a throw to first that pulled AMak off the bag.
  7. 43 career games total, but 29 games since his first so it's about every other game on average since he broke the seal.
  8. It's supposed to be officially voted on "this summer" but I don't think it has been yet. Based on the success in the minors, spring training, and the all star game, I would expect it next season.
  9. Bonemer with a walk and an RBI double in his A+ debut so far
  10. Sammy fired up for his leadoff bunt single
  11. Updated lineup swaps Colson and Teel which I think is an improvement.
  12. Quero's .370 average vs. LHP is top 3 in the league (min 100 PAs) He's also been doing this overall:
  13. A shutout with only 4K's is pretty efficient. 102 pitches between Smith and GIlbert, if not for the error could have been <100. Yesterday's shutout took 10Ks and 161 pitches in comparison.
  14. It's actually very cool that Luis can go 0-4 and it's not a death knell for the offense. Also stole a rest day for Colson, Tauch, and Teel, and only used two arms to boot. Good stuff.
  15. Five shutouts for AL central teams in the past 3 days, and none of them were the White Sox! In fact we pitched two of them!
  16. While scoring 15! Against the AL Central! First team to shutout KC all season.
  17. Probably. He pitched well to Thaiss, so there could be something to a "vet" being good for him, but he's also just made some tweaks that have resulted in overall improvement recently.
