  1. Nice to see them keep finding different ways to win, including scratching and clawing for this one late. Davis Martin is such a development success story. Win #19 and series win #6, both of which didn't come until June last season. Tied for 2nd with KC pending their night game. 14-11 in their last 25.
  2. Vargas' second HR the hardest hit of his career at 112.9 EV
  3. The Sox through 40 games: Longest L Streak # of L4+ 2024 7 4 2025 8 3 2026 3 0 Avoiding letting losses snowball into long streaks continues to be key for the team's improved look and feel. Hat tip to Kay for stepping up with the stopper outing today. Castillo's fall off this season is sort of crazy to see, glad the boys took advantage.
  4. Sure, why not
  5. Pretty surprised they overturned that honestly
  6. DET vs. KC and CLE vs. MIN going on simultaneously, potential to shake up the standings Weird that the Sox have only played 1 series in the division so far, by this time last year they were 2-17 in division. The top of the division looks a bit weaker with the Sox not donating everyone a free sweep or two
  7. Can't argue with results, what an AB
  8. Ant starting to look comfortable out there in LF
  9. 10 straight scoring first Nice job by Colson to recover an AB that started off rough
  10. Bailey is great defensively, but so is Hedges. Neither hits much typically, though Bailey is ice cold to start the year (under .400 OPS) and Hedges as been (for his standards) red hot. Pretty clear they are very out on Bo Naylor behind the plate, Bailey maybe the long term Hedges replacement as a glove first C.
  11. Castillo has been great for most of his career but is off to a pretty rough start this season. He comes in with an OPS against over .900 in 3 road starts, although his BABIP vs. RHH is unsustainably high so some of it could be bad luck. But his expected stats aren't good either and he allows a lot of hard contact so there should be pitches to hit if the Sox want to even the series.
  12. Did the Sox challenge at all today? Feels like there were a lot of missed opportunities to use them
  13. Randy Johnson night for SEA, he was pitching inspired
