Mesa Jr. worked an impressive 10 pitch walk that seemed to tire McDougal a bit. Single, WP, and a walk after that. 3 pitch K (all heat) and a routine fly ended the inning. Came back out for a 2K 4th. FB averaged 98 and touched 100 but was a bit wild. Slider looked good (80% whiff rate) but he only threw a handful. Knights down 1-0, Plymell should be on for the 5th.

Schultz faced the minimum over 4 innings. No hits, 5K, and 1 walk that was erased by a GIDP. Sat 97 and threw 6 pitches. Smith sat 96 and got a nasty 57% whiff rate on the fastball (8/14). Also 44% on the slider (4/9). 13 whiffs on 26 swings overall. Pretty, pretty good. Antonacci just cut down a guy at second from LF.
