  1. I think the sticky stuff was helping him get better velocity because it helped him get a better grip on the ball.
  2. They're just teeing off on Gio
  3. Burger just kills lefties
  4. Sox leaving way too many runners on base.
  5. Yeah Vaughn getting an RBI on a slider is really good to see.
  6. I don't think Lynn is done per se, but the velocity is something to watch because of the pitch clock and his age. If it doesn't improve by May 15th then it starts to become a concern. I don't think Kopech is done either btw, let them see if it was just him tipping his pitches.
  7. It's the 2nd series of the season, there's not much to work with in terms of sample size.
  8. It's the second series of the year, all we have to work on is what has happened so far. Obviously there's time for Lynn to get his arm worked up to full strength. The pitch clock is also a big deal. Lynn has just been trash today all around, both velocity wise and command wise.
  9. It's way down from the 93 he averaged last year and his career norm is averaging somewhere between 93.5-94.6.
  10. Lynn is averaging 91.3 mph with the heater today.
  11. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/lance-lynn-458681?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb Ok he's averaged between 93.5-94.6 for most of his career.
  12. Lynn was a mid to high 90s guy for most of his career.
  13. So does anyone think Lynn can be effective at 90-93 mph?
  14. That's a really good point.
  15. Hahn loves Clevinger so if he continues to pitch well I'd watch out for an extension, much to the dismay of all of us who think he's likely a garbage person.
  16. You can't get away with a fastball heavy arsenal when you're topping out at 93 mph as a RHP in today's MLB.
  17. Lynn's velocity is way down this year.
  18. Cease is the only player from the rebuild that hasn't been at the very least a disappointment. Maybe Giolito as well. He had 3 very good years but he's not the same guy with reduced velocity. Not to say that guys like Moncada, Jimenez and Robert aren't solid players but they're not stars.
