The only sorta underlying metrics that are out of wack from the rest of his career are groundball/flyball ratio and pull%. He’s not hitting the ball harder or striking out less; bat speed, barrel%, etc are pretty much the same. Do steroids make pull the ball in the air better but affect nothing else? Seems like he learned something helpful. Considering the rest of the Red Sox offensive success, maybe they have a pretty good hitting coach. I think this is the way. I been saying, we could've traded for all these studs and still finish 4th. The division is very close. I'm taking our young players over the rest of the division though. I hope we don't regret moving Bawston in particular.
