  1. 2-1 in the second inning and I've already reached my quota of reading SoxTalk whining
  2. Dude had a 20 game on base streak going and people were like "what happened to this dude?" Surprisingly, Chuck Goof-fien did a pretty good interview with some Japanese ball beat writer who said something like, "expect him to go through some home run draughts but he'll still get on base". and yeah, o'doyle rules.
  3. for whatever reason, I woke up this morning thinking about how the Cuyahoga River is so polluted that all the fish have AIDS.
  4. Upcoming class of free agent SPs isn't that hot to me. In hindsight, wish we would've spent on one of the guys who was available, specifically Ranger. Jazz or Varsho are semi-appealing in this next class.
  5. Wainwright seems like such a random dude to have in this booth.
  6. lol was watching this game. Carrington cooked her ass. Sky is an inept organization but she was a good pickup. Stanford alum with a master's degree but you already know what people are gonna say about her.
  7. many people are saying that there was a second manager who visited the mound. came out from the grassy knoll in the bullpen.
  8. Why not his MLB numbers that came later? 2.66 ERA, 3.09 FIP, 29% K rate. Some regression from that was plausible, or improvement as often happens with young players, but he's completely s%*# the bed this season along with Oppor, Schultz and others.
  9. CoCo Gauff made a statement when asked on that matter that was a whole lot savvier, less paranoid and hate-fueled. Ostensibly because she has a brain (and is also much, much better at her respective sport; who cares what a basketball role player thinks). Cunningham's remark about "protecting girls" is simply nonsensical, and particularly ironic because she hangs out with that UFC wife beater. .001% of NCAA athletes are trans women, it's a fake fuckin issue dominating the media and electoral cycle rather than wage stagnation and increased cost of living because the electorate is a bunch of rubes.
  10. The pitching regression through the entire organization is wild. Welkommen was lights out last season and had two really good pitches.
  11. Difference with Cunningham is she's totally leaned into the right wing grift. Clark just plays ball. Won't say there isn't some racial aspect to the support she receives because there definitely is (among people who don't even watch wnba or women's sports at all), but it's in such bad taste to make a comparison to Emmett Till's murder. Two weeks late to this story lol.
  12. being a fan of Caitlin Clark is exactly the same thing as lynching a child. these people have worms in their brain.
  13. Hagen has looked far nastier to me than Noah when I've watched him pitch. I think he's going to impress. What a weird song and dance to move Fedde to the pen only for Schultz to pitch half an inning before being sent down.
  14. This is a deep cut. Where do you think those drones that were terrorizing New Jersey came from? The alien craft production center beneath the Bermuda Triangle.
  15. Lol my bud who doesn't even like the White Sox bought tickets to this months ago. Really bad look for the Sox. Not a bad look for Ja Rule because who gives a f*** about Ja Rule in 2026? Well, I care about Ja Rule, but mostly because his best songs are also Ashanti's best songs.
  16. The Red Sox broke this fanbase's collective brain
  17. The only sorta underlying metrics that are out of wack from the rest of his career are groundball/flyball ratio and pull%. He’s not hitting the ball harder or striking out less; bat speed, barrel%, etc are pretty much the same. Do steroids make pull the ball in the air better but affect nothing else? Seems like he learned something helpful. Considering the rest of the Red Sox offensive success, maybe they have a pretty good hitting coach. Why are there two conspiracy threads about the Red Sox on this board? Rent free.
  18. Yeah maybe there's something suspicious but their stretch seems too good to be a result of cheating. I thought it turned out that the trashcan Astros were hitting better on the road anyway but I might be misremembering.
  19. my argument is that the law of averages is undefeated. the red sox weren't actually a sub .500 team and Tristan Peters isn't actually an .800 ops hitter.
  20. I think this is the way. I been saying, we could've traded for all these studs and still finish 4th. The division is very close. I'm taking our young players over the rest of the division though. I hope we don't regret moving Bawston in particular.
  21. i don't want whatever juice these shirtless men are providing, john
  22. can't count out the offense!
