9/11, Pirates @ White Sox, 2:40 AM on the Beautiful Island of Kefalonia
It’s like he accepting defeat, as in, it’s his job to lose games. Jerry to Getz to Will. Lose. How else can you explain this?

It will feel strange to be hearing what Cleveland’s magic number in a few days but give Cleveland credit. They hung in there and now are on their way.

I’ve watched paint drying that was more exciting than this. Offensive impotence….again.

Those who still believe that the sox still have a chance to win this division have to be miserable by now. Those of us who came to the realization that this team wasn’t winning their division, several weeks ago, don’t have that burden.

Quero recalled
How does this work. Can a team tell a player he’s injured even if he isn’t and does the mean Pham is being complicit if he agreed without being injured. Not saying he’s not injured but if he isn’t I would imagine he would tell them to go (blank) themselves?

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
These losses when they happen seem to be a result of an implosion on those days.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
“Imploding”. I think your thing first one to use that word and it’s timely correct.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
At this point I just don’t see Murakami as a major league hitter and I don’t think he is fixable. He’s doesn’t have talent. He isn’t a major league hitter. He had his fling but that is all it was. A fling.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
Because now that league has him figured him out, the man flat-out can’t hit other than an infrequently home run every once in a strenuous while. He’s an early has-been.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
There have been many losses that can be directly nailed on the blundering boob we have as manager. I don’t care how much the players (supposedly) love him. To a man the players have to know that his in-game decisions are ludicrous and amateurish and so does probably the coaching staff.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
Only a couple of dozen plus games left. Nobody is going to get hot. That ship has sailed. This team is now taking on, a lot of water with rough seas ahead, with a Skipper who can’t weather the storm.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
Agree. That should be our infield the rest of the way but it’s only a pipe dream with this manager

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
Three up and three down seems reasonable.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
Why even have Mune in the lineup. It serves no purpose. Put Vargas back at first and Colson at third.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
That first half or so of the season, there was a feeling that they could and would come back and when down a few seems has disappeared. Now it seems most likely unlikely. Plus Venable’s managerial skills are tarnished by a severe lacking of important managing skills.

Could be down to a 1 and a half game lead over Cleveland later tonight or not.

9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
Playing Murakami the rest of the way is grand larceny.
-
9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
There is still to many (but still only a few) games left and the way this team is pitching and hitting and fielding as poorly as they are, to win this Division. It’s almost appears scripted.
-
9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
Keeping Castillo out there is dereliction of duty on Venable’s part.

9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
I agree with you but I’m sure Will doesn’t agree with you.

9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
He’s not out of his slump in my opinion. He just had a moment in time. It won’t last. He is now set for another heavy slump.

9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
Was anyone warming up in the bullpen yet.

9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
Any assumptions that Murakami and Colson are somehow going to break out of their batting doldrums before the season ends, which is almost here, is best described as a delirium. Will appears to be waiting for Santa to arrive. Play the subs more. They can do much worse.

9/2 GT, Sox vs. Astros, 7:10. Keep 'em Separated
I’ll bet Pham was the first one to leave after the game. What the hell can he possible add to the locker room other than look sad.
