Did Bellinger turn 35? Cuz that’s when the Sox will have a chance at signing him.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Who? One poster that had a question about the Sox draft money/resources? No. Jerry is cheap in free agency. We all know this. However, the draft costs a pittance. I’m sure he loves it.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
A .700 OPS from a catcher is fine these days. They won’t be trading for Quero.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
The Pirates already have two catchers — Joey Bart and their former first rounder Henry Davis. I doubt they would have much interest in Quero.

**World Soxtalk Championship Wrestling Thread VI**
How do you have John Cena tap out in his final match? Triple H is bad at this. The crowd chanted “You fucked up” as Triple H came to the ring celebrate Cena’s retirement. He was then booed soundly when he entered the ring. What a jabroni.

Streamer 600 Projections
I think Teel and Quero will be better. However, I’m not buying that Baldwin projection.

And your argument is dumb.

No, I didn’t forget the Eloy trade at all. Which is why I posted the article and quote so quickly from MLB Trade Rumors. Your argument is an absolute joke. Jerry saved $1.76 million on the Eloy trade. It was either include money to dump him on the Orioles or keep him until the end of the season and eat the entirety of Eloy’s contract, including his $3 million dollar buyout. The entire discussion was around including cash to receive a better return for Robert. How does the Eloy trade relate to this discussion at all? The Eloy trade was a salary dump. The Orioles agreed to pay for half of Eloy’s $3 million dollar buyout because Jerry wanted to save money. Period. The end. But I’m sure you’ll keep trying.

If you can’t identify the difference between the Eloy trade and a potential Robert trade, I am wasting my fingers typing. Once again, Jerry saved money overall with the Eloy trade. Don’t be dense.

I don’t know what caulfield is talking about but it was simply a salary dump trade to save a bit of money. The reliever they received for Eloy has already retired from baseball. 🤣

Jerry did it to save money in the end. You can’t be this clueless. It was either that or eat all of Eloy’s remaining contract. See my previous post. Jerry ended up saving $1.76 million. This is a terrible comparison and argument.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
Haha, no one wanted the guy so they had to include money to save money. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/07/white-sox-trade-eloy-jimenez-orioles.html ”Chicago is reportedly kicking in $4MM to cover almost all of the approximate $4.26MM remaining on his contract. The Sox would also pay down $1.5MM of the $3MM buyout on Jimenez’s 2025 club option, which the O’s are virtually certain to decline.”

Like most Sox fans that know how our owner is, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Jerry isn’t likely to include money because he’s Jerry. Having a beef with Cohen makes it even less likely.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
“The Mets inquired about Luis Robert. But for the Mets to surrender prospects, they want money back to offset Robert’s $20M salary and hard-line White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf isn’t seen as likely to give money to Steve Cohen’s team.”

Jon Heyman says they aren’t willing to, while Ken Rosenthal says they are willing to.

They don’t even want to give him a chance at injuring himself yet again. Probably the wise play. But Jerry supposedly refusing to pick up any of his salary is a joke.
