  1. Exactly. And who were the Nuggets missing that was probably the difference in the game? Oh yeah…
  2. I’m sure the Mets would love to but I doubt there is any hope of that. The Mets would have to pay a ton of Marte’s remaining money. Another poster mentioned this very early on — that Canario probably wouldn’t remain with the Mets simply because Marte is owed $19.5 million for this year. Yikes… If the Mets DFA Canario soon, I hope Getz is all over him. Other posters have noted Canario’s swing and miss issues, and they are correct, as he has 15 strikeouts in 43 plate appearances this Spring. But he has also drawn 7 walks and shown his power with 3 bombs, including a grand slam. I still think he’s worth a shot. He’s only a year older than Meidroth and could be a part of the next good young Sox team, even if he is just a platoon OF/DH at best.
  3. Apparently, the guy who got into it with Bernstein just donated $10,000 to Camp One Step, for which Bernstein served on the board of directors and was removed last week for his tweet about going after this guy’s children.
  4. Omar Narvaez was already released. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/03/white-sox-release-omar-narvaez-reassign-chase-meidroth.html#google_vignette
  5. Brutal. Bad enough we had to watch them on the Sox last year, but Oldy Moldy is now another year older? 38 now? Wow, poor Padres fans…
  6. Link: ”Alexander Canario had two homers, including a grand slam, in the Mets’ 10-2 rout of the Marlins on Sunday. He also singled. When we checked in on Canario a week ago, he was just 3-for-25 with a .621 OPS this spring. Now he’s 11-for-35 with a 1.058 OPS. He still doesn’t make sense for the Mets roster, but it seems far more likely now that he’ll be claimed by some team (Colorado?) if he goes on waivers.”
  7. Talking politics has been a non-stop theme over the years with Bernstein, so you must have missed a lot of it. He is extreme anti-Catholic and anti-Conservative. He takes shots at the current POTUS all the time. I remember in 2016 right after the election, Bernstein said he tucked in his son into bed for the night and cried as he was worried about the future of Jewish people. He was always a sensationalist tool and used his platform to spout his biased beliefs. Good riddance.
  8. I don’t think that was the main reason but it was definitely a side advantage of Bernstein saying something stupid and causing his own firing. The dude literally threatened a guy and his kids and didn’t even attempt to delete the tweets — probably because he was smart enough to know that they were screenshotted for evidence the second he made the tweets.
  9. Not in a million years. Just like how both Kenny and Hahn are completely out of baseball. The Jerry stink is all over them.
  10. Gotta have something to look forward to if you are a season ticket holder.
  11. No one is excited to see a AAAA player starting for the Sox, but that’s most of their lineup.
  12. The search engine shows March 6th which was after Colson Montgomery was held out with back spasms on February 27th. Also, Meidroth didn’t hit all ST and is more of a 2B than SS. There really was no other logical option with that knowledge. https://www.soxtalk.com/forums/search/?&q=Amaya&author=ptatc&search_and_or=or
  13. What is the prediction? They don’t have any other options, lol.
  14. Once again, who cares what anyone else thinks? I am not the Sox GM and neither are you. There is one guy who is paid to be the Sox GM and his name is Chris Getz. And last I checked, he traded Santos for DeLoach and also listened to the guy he hired (Josh Barfield) in picking Fletcher over McCarthy. So you just named two of his outfield failures in your very own post.
  15. Couldn’t happen to a worse owner.
  16. Worse than last year. Getz is a wizard.
  17. I didn’t state that. I said the current assessment of the trade looks awful. I also said, “imagine if Getz doesn’t come away with one quality major leaguer from these two trades…”
  18. I believe Dick Allen already asked this question but it might be in another thread. What success did Getz have other than Seby Zavala?
  19. You know why this is a ridiculous conversation? Because people that suck at their previous roles don’t normally get promoted to an even better and more important role. Haha, the entire situation is a joke to begin with.
  20. Yep. Many other GMs of teams have intentionally tanked over the years for draft picks, saving money, etc., and yet none of those GMs managed to achieve what Getz did.
  21. Getz inherited landmines that he had planted in his previous roles as Director of Player Development and Assistant GM. He then stepped on those landmines numerous times because he was too stupid to remember where he planted them.
  22. So because he was bad at his previous roles as Director of Player Development and Assistant GM, he then got promoted to the GM role in which he started out with a weak farm system and MLB roster that he was a part of building and part of the reason it was so bad? I can see why someone would think this is a ridiculous discussion.
