  1. Can’t trade a stud like Houser to the Cubs, even if they get back a decent prospect. Can’t help them win another WS.
  2. Yep, Getz won the trade!!!
  3. Just as it was designed by fate…
  4. Makes total sense. They need starting pitching help and Houser would be a cheap option.
  5. Whenever I think of Getz working that Fedde, Kopech, Pham trade, I imagine Getz as Jack in “Jack and the Beanstalk” and trading his livelihood for the magic beans (Vargas).
  6. I’d rather he go to DFA-land. Hopefully a team is interested before any value he gained from his hot streak is forgotten.
  7. .223 / .704 He is who we thought he was.
  8. Be my guest… Down to .224 / .706
  9. He only finishes his outings in missionary.
  10. Couldn’t have happened to a worse team. Almost literally…
  11. This is what I come here for. Jolly good show, chaps!!!
  12. Does Steve Stone still work for the Sox? Good lord, what a sweet gig the guy has…
  13. Yeah, Al Franken should probably keep quiet when it comes to religion, ethics, and morals. 🤣
  14. Who cares? He’s a stupid baseball player, like most of them.
  15. Beat me to it. 🤣 They have so much depth they were able to trade Michael Busch for two of their top 5 prospects and restock.
  16. You should bet @greg775’s house on it!!!
  17. Because they have such a good farm system and can afford to trade prospects for established players and stars.
  18. You said Vargas was hot for 50 games this season. Does that outweigh his larger sample size of his Dodgers days, his time with the White Sox last season, along with the 33 games this season that you referenced? Not in my book. Also, I’m not sure how guys like Bart and Canario have anything to do with this discussion considering they would have been near free acquisitions and served as bench players, not a full-time starter like Vargas that trade value was used to acquire. But please show me my post where I called Bart and Canario potential hall-of-famers.
  19. Seems like Getz was just trying to sneak Nastrini through waivers to outright him and free up a roster spot but the Marlins pounced on him. Somewhat of a strange move since the 40-man was already at 39 and is now at 38 after losing Nastrini. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/07/marlins-claim-nick-nastrini.html
  20. His batting line is similar to Andrew Vaughn’s career line. I don’t have to pretend anything.
  21. Very weird. I’m sure he and Robert will get hot once the weather heats up.
  22. It’s funny how when a player’s traditional stats are mediocre, people jump to WAR. And we have yet to see if he’s actually a 3 WAR player. The dude is back to his usual slumping self. Vargas, Rojas, Slater, Taylor… Second worst record in baseball… Yes, let me praise The Great Wizard GM Getz. 🥱 If you can magically trade Vargas for a top 100 prospect, go for it.
  23. Finish the season with two players above a .750 OPS. Fetus steps…
